HR was the only good modern game in the genre at the time. MD is ok, it should be DLC for HR

Squeenix used to treat their Western devs like gods. They gave the HR devs 5 fucking years to work on the game, so while it wasn't a classic, it's a really polished quality game.

With MD, the devs had the option of releasing 50% of a good game or a 100% of a shitty one. I think they made the right choice, but they'll never get to make that other 50%.

Character design and interaction: Faridah, Sarif, and Frank Pritchard were infinitely more interesting than the random black pilot, and the oh-so-hip black woman who substituted swearing for any semblance of personality.

Environment interaction: In HR, he's globe-trotting, hot-shot spy boy visiting cyberpunk mega-cities. By MD, Jensen was reduced to running around a ghetto, saving bi-polar people from run-ins with common police.

Gravity of issues: HR's climatic issue was the brain-hijacking of every augmented person on earth. MD's climatic issue was that a couple of politicians were about to be poisoned.

Boss fights: I don't think I even remember the MD boss fights.

Well Pikmin 3 was kind of incredibly disappointing, so I'll probably just stick with replaying Pikmin 1 and 2, I don't need a Pikmin 4.

A wired 360 gamepad can just be plugged into the PC and drivers should automatically install. The wireless version can't just be plugged in, you need an adapter like this one:

I don't play Minecraft, but since it's now owned by MS I imagine you can just go to the options menu and select to use the pad.

Here's a Super Mario World focused one as a bonus.

I heavily suggest Star Road, it feels like more Mario 64, in the best way possible. The levels are unique, but they still hold the same good design as the original courses. Though they do hike up the difficulty. I managed to beat it 100% without savestates, and I don't think I'm amazing at video games, but I did have to have a LOT of persistence to get through the hard shit. The 121st star took me around 2 hours to get, but thankfully nothing else is like that.
Last Impact is newer, probably why it isn't on that list. I played a few worlds and didn't like it at as much, but it could still definitely appeal to you. The worlds are bigger, and there's LOTS of custom content in the form of new enemies and new power ups. I guess one way to put it is it's Banjo-Tooie to Mario 64's Banjo-Kazooie, even if the courses don't connect to other courses.
Those are all I have tried.
