Why is she such an awkward weirdo? It's unbelievable that she's unaware of how awkward some of the things she says and acts as if it's something to be proud of as seen in her supports with Robin. Of course someone is going to be freaked out that you know their entire day schedule or how many times they've turned in their sleep, don't expect them to be grateful for it. Every single 4x game I've ever seen or played is based on Civilization mechanics, which I just don't like. If you know of some 4x games that don't share mechanics like working tiles for food, production, gold, science, etc, then go ahead and suggest them.

The problem with wargaming is that it's too focused on one particular conflict/time period. They're also centered entirely on fighting a war, whereas I want a game that's more general. Even the Paradox games have a bit more of that than I'd prefer, I'd like to be able to just tell some generals how to manage something rather than micro-managing my troops all the time.
I can look into some mods again, but every time I try to use any mods I run into the same problems. The mods are never fully fleshed out, and there's never a place where I can go to look up the game mechanics with the mod's changes.

you think you do, but you don't. What your asking for is really competent AI thats extremely rare, and even then it will most likely only vaguely do what you tell it to and would have had better results managing it yourself. Darkest Hour is probably the best game when it comes to straddling the line between AI and player control.

A lot of modern gamers seem to struggle with narratives that don't have clearly defined "good" and "bad" characters. It's pretty bizarre how many people seemingly don't understand Far Cry 4's story, for example. They want "likeable" characters and react with confusion if the game presents the people they're allied with as being just as bad or worse than the people they're fighting against.
