is there even a reason to play games on original hardware? its always worse than modern emulators, be it something like adding widescreen support or just cranking up the settings so not everything is a giant fuzzy block. its so much better yet always managed to set off the collector fags who want to rant on about zsnes.

almost all controllers now are wireless and have the option of plugging in. wireless is always going to be slower than wired. i can only speak for myself but a wired 360 controller and using a tv as a monitor, i get less lag then when i run the same game on a proper setup with a wireless controller.
At what point do you feel CGI FMV became so well done that it's timeless? When did it stop looking shit and looked good enough to hold up even today?
This CGI intro came out in 2006 and STILL holds up against our modern stuff, it's also one of the best intro's of all time

Any of you played the game? Are they nice?
Will probably pick Hollow Knight later, and I'm waiting for Dead Cells to get out of early access (unless you think its a worthy game already)

>play a "classic" RPG (Deus Ex, Bloodlines, Planescape: Torment etc)
>gameplay - as in actual gameplay - is catastrophically bad, it's like a shit tier FPS (in first two cases, Torment is an isometric VN) that's a pain in the ass to play)
>however if you snoop around a bit (aka look in the nooks and crannys) you find datalogs where villains for some reason write down their plans and codes in detail
>you can also invest in CHA-based skills and skip most of the encounters including literally exploding bosses by choosing dialogue prompts
>as for level design, rival gangs live 30ft from each other
>these games are praised as pinnacle of RPG systems
