define your states and then have a conditional determine what the current state is
use current state as a permission check for actions and reactions
i.e. only jump if state == grounded

No, and I say that from someone who has a husbando in DR. It's a bit different, if a little easy at times, and some of the minigames, especially in the second game, are really cumbersome.
AA is better, more coherent and better written, and that's mostly thanks to Shu Takumi's character writting, but DR is still enjoyable; if you like one, you're bound to like the other.

It's more of an Easter Egg than trivia, but in Metro 2033, there's a blink and you'll miss it dead body fused into one of the walls of a tunnel late in the game.
The game is actually full of crap like this. Enemies that spawn for like 3 seconds and run away really quickly if you're looking at them.

I accidentally bought the Sonic Mania: Collector's Edition while I was high and I want to return it to Amazon. I already used the fucking game code. Can I still return the damn thing? I paid 70 bucks for a light plastic Sonic statue, a cheap useless ring, and a metal card. I live close to a drop off point, would they check to see if the game code hasn't been used? Do I just uninstall the game on my account and does it reactive that code for the new guy?
