The translation is just fine, you can play it with no problems whatosever. Avoid Ao at all costs since it spoils all 3 CS games (yes, even CS3 which will come out). The official release will probably happen by 2019/2020 given that XSEED is still working on CS1 and CS2, so you'll have plenty of time to forget plenty of details and have fun with a second playthrough, plus the improved textures and etc.
Also, use the FALCOM general on /vg/, it's comfy.

Is it true it's full of CGI cutscenes that were added in just for the PSX version? Also is it as good as everyone says? I have only ever finished VII and XII if that helps. Main character looks interesting... But i have always been dissapointed by game narratives before the PSX era... It always felt like they didn't try as hard as FF VII did with story but maybe i just played shit early gen RPG's.

I never quite realized that until now but Quake community is pretty fucking stupid.

So with the characters in this game coming into BBX. Can someone explain how the actual game is played. From checking vids, it's like a "SF" version of GG or BB if you get what I mean.
Also heard that the game itself is considered to have one of the best fighting game mechanics, dunno if that is true or what.

I haven't played it, looks like a discount Blaz, which is a discount GG.
Furthermore, I haven't even heard about the game prior to the BBX teaser, so it seems like it's not as popular as Blaz or GG, which seems pretty unpopular.
That said, I'd be more than willing to give it a try if it turns out this is all just circumstantial and it's actually on par with the other games I've mentioned.
