I actually don't mind turn based battles. I played both DQ8 and P5 this year and loved them. Something about how the enemy can attack me when it's "my turn" is offputting. I'd rather it just be a back and forth and not a charging of gauges.

These games are legit great, especially 2. Nothing else plays quite like them and they honestly did a great job translating the gameplay of the genesis games into 3d in a subtle way. It's disappointing to see questions like yours being asked these days. Thanks a lot Youtube.

I forked over half a grand for a Nintendo Switch, two extra joy-cons with a grip pad, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe only to find out the game is basically Mario Kart 8 with the battle mode patched. I already own a Wii U with Mario Kart 8 + both DLCs, I feel utterly ripped off and empty inside.
