I scoff mightily at your autistic reason for wasting Balthier's great stats on Machinist, but even more mightily at you giving Penelo Black Mage and Ashe Black Mage, regardless of the artstyle, the fact of the matter is that the whole point of the story is Ashe's willingness to use destructive magic for revenge, whereas Penelo is a big empathic ball of caring. To suggest that Ashe shouldn't be Black Mage and Penelo shouldn't be White Mage is even dumber than pissing away Vaan's or Balthier's stats on jobs like those - even dumber than using Uhlan, the worst job in the game

It was my first RPG and it's one of the nearest and dearest to my heart. The action commands during combat go a long way to making your standard turn-based combat exciting and engaging. Add in a god-tier OST and charming story and visuals and you got a solid 10/10.

I think the original was much more fun until the patch that added super hp sponge enemies. I still think rebirth added too much bloat, so many shit items. Reminds me of Pokémon, had a solid first couple hundred and they couldn't make good ones after tbat

Is this game worth giving another shot? I loved Dragon Age Origins, and all of Bioware's older RPGs. I payed a bit of DA II but had a bug that halted my progress and haven't played it again since, the game also usually gets shit on so it makes me wary of playing it. I played Inquisition a bit too but the quests were just very shitty MMO tier quests, the combat was alright though and I can't remember much about the characters.

Dorian was surprisingly one of the few decent companions in the game. That is, when he wasn't acting like a complete faggot.
