Those aren't 3D graphics, retard.
That's all 3D models rendered at specific angles and used as sprites.
That also answers your question about why it's not done any more. Once you have all the models for everything, there is no reason not to make your game 3D.

They consider any and all criticism of a game they like to be "shitposting", they think if you dislike the game you haven't played it (or haven't played it enough, or if you've played it a lot you obviously couldn't have hated it), etc. It's the same tired arguments again and again, and again and again and again. Might even be the same people frankly. The only thing you can hope is that eventually they'll go away (to some new game) and you can finally have honest discussions.
