I started playing Path of Exile in open beta and left it right before they started making temporal leagues.
I just tried again last week because I saw that everybody was hyped about the new acts and so. And I need to say:
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK HAPPENED?
Did GGG just fucking fired the whole balance team and replace it with monkeys or what? Literally 90% of all builds are completely broken at the moment. Back in the days to get a clear speed that 90% of the popular builds have you had to spend almost 900 exalts in perfect rolled gears with the perfect mods and even then most of the fast clearing builds were pretty damn risky.
Right now you can just spend ~5 chaos orbs and get the same, if not faster, clear speed. And you are ten times tankier than before.
Back in the days if a build got really popular and toxic the skill or item that enabled that build would just get nerfed fast.

Hey /v/ there was a shitty rpg that i played when i was like 15 that i wanted to play again because i hate myself.
It was pc exclusive, full shitty pixel art style, it had a shitton of levels and a shitty online mode. I can't fucking remember the name, i think that was something something fortune. Like Well of fortune or some shit like that. Well, thanks /v/ i hope that someone of you autist remember*played this game, i want to confirm that i'm not crazy and that i actually played this game.

I'm just planning on sticking with 1080p/60fps gaming, plenty of emulation 6th gen emulation and maybe watching some VR pornography.
Is an i5 7600k 3.8ghz and a GTX 1060 6GB a decent combo to satisfy this with a bit of margin for error?
The benchmarks and videos I've seen all seem fine, I'm just curious what /v/ thinks.

the i5 will be fine and i'm using an overclocked 4690k with absolutely no issue in games but i'd recommend going for the similarly priced r5 1600 as it offers much more (6 cores, 12 threads) as opposed to the 4 cores 4 threads of the i5. it won't have a massive difference in games but overall you'd save some money as the ryzen platform is cheaper and it even comes with a good cooler unlike the i5 but in the long term you'd be better off with the higher core count. also multitasking and using editing/production software will be much faster on the r5 1600.
the gtx 1060 6gb is probably the best mainstream mid-range gpu there is. good choice and no problem there.
