Not him, but I'm trying to get through on Akumu difficulty and I'm getting fuck stuck on the first level where you're trying to get past the chainsaw guy and your leg in injured. I swear to god, there are these fucking boxes in the way that weren't there on normal difficulty and I can't break them.

XY are better games than SM. They have better level design, and although the writing is just as bad, the story is much less prominent so it's better by that virtue.
XY also have better features. The stuff SM added - Festival Plaza and Poké Finder for example - are absolute, irredeemable trash.

Yeah "it's fine" the developers can't even hide where the textures converg each other.
DS2 was the best Soul in terms of content/boses/weapons/character creation but the worst in level design/details.

Boostshit is NOT suitable for 3D platforming. In 3D sections, all you do is boost through a cinematic experience with smartphone endless runner controls:
>jump/crouch
>dash left/right
>get sent to fuck off to a 2D section for actual platforming
Any 3D "platforming" in a bost game is
>hoaming attack chains
>trampoline chains
>rails
>quicktime events (QTE)
All the significant gameplay as modern sonic happens in 2D sections. Forces will be no exception to this.
The only games where Sonic was fully in 3D were:

>Heroes
>Shadow the Hedgehog
