Am I playing this game wrong somehow? Just beat Xord in the mines but combat doesn't really seem to be clicking yet.
>Reyn can't hold aggro worth a shit even with his aggro Arts leveled up
>Normal enemies seem to take a strangely long time to die even when chaining Arts and hitting positionals with Shulk and at the same/higher level
>Healing seems worthless because it restores too little for the cooldown period even when leveled up
I'm not exactly having a hard time but combat feels way too tedious for some reason. It's like enemies just have a ton of HP for no reason and even a group of 3 or 4 of them can gangbang you out of nowhere. My equipment is up to date from quests/drops/merchants and I keep my level around the average of the enemies in the area but I still feel weak as fuck.
Also, Xenoblade thread I guess.

It gets a lot easier when you move on in the game. Sharla is garbage and should not be used. once you get some better characters, use them, and make sure you utilize chain attacks and actually chain the colors for the damage multiplier. Spoilers below, so view at your own risk.Melia is the best character, a team of you playing as her, with Shulk and Reyn, should beat every battle. She can force a topple on any enemy, including flying enemies, and she gets passive buffs depending on what element is used.
I reccomend keeping a water and earth element on her and using the bolts to attack. This makes her unstoppable basically, as long as Reyn draws the aggro. Also, Shulk, Dunban, and Fiora is a great team for good DPS. I beat the final bnoss with that team, while severely underleveled.

How did Aonuma come up with the idea of Wolf Link at the same time as Kamiya was working on Okami? Keep in mind the wolf aspect was first teased as the end of a trailer in 2004. Okami wasn't revealed till half a year later. I find happenstances like this fascinating.
Both developers are Japanese. Both came up with the same idea of a lupine in the same genre (Zelda-esque). Both decided to go with wolves instead of kitsunes despite not only being more popular in Japan but having a history with both (Aonuma worked on the more light-hearted parts of Majora's Mask which means he came up with stuff like Keaton, and Kamiya is on record with saying his favorite games are Star Fox). Both games released in the same year to similar critical acclaim to vie for GotY.
I can't believe I'm the only person who finds this incredible.
