Eh, there's not much in it. Character creation is top notch though.

The character creator and house building elements are wonderful. The loading times are much better than The Sims 3, and the graphics are very nice.

Everything else about it is an enormous step backwards. The emotion system is a fucking joke, and EA advertising it as a huge feature (as if Sims never had emotions before) should have been a red flag to everyone that the game is a shallow mess.

They've become to rich to give a fuck. Valve horizontal work structure is fully to blame for this. Most people apply to job position for that job security working on Steam for the rest of their lives, the ones really interested in developing game are steadily leaving the company.
