Why is nostalgia so prevalent in video game culture? Video games are a medium where you have objective improvement, yet people still hold onto old games so much. Why is pokemon red on all the top 100 games lists, when pokemon x&y have better graphics, gameplay, story and sound quality? Might be a bad example but you get the point.

The strongest argument is that it released on a during the summer and during a very saturated market.
Is the market really saturated with Hero Shooters or FPS in general?

I mean, Blizzard is obviously trying their damn fest to make everything and everyone look as unique and standoutish, and flesh out the world more and more with each cinematic, but something just doesn't feel genuine about them. I just can't put my finger on it. The designs of the characters and the concept of the story are decent ideas, but for some reason, the execution just feels off. Seriously, I'm not memeing or trolling, this has actually been bothering me for awhile. Is it because the cinematics just look like Diet-Dreamworks? Or the omnic crisis could've been told better. Is it just the dialogue? Is it the fact that because of the gameplay, the characters have been memed to high heaven and can't be taken seriously? I really don't know :/

I refuse to pay for a digital "copy" of a game. I especially refuse to pay to digitally rent a game from Steam, which is exactly what happens when you pay for a game on Steam.
Games should only be sold physically with the entire games on the discs, with the ability to copy and paste to another disc or flash drive, and they shouldn't require some shitty "service" like Steam or GOG.
Digital only and games not being on the actual discs you buy them on is the exact reason games are sold unfinished, the reason DLC/microtransactions are a thing, and the reason early access (aka paying to test someone's game when devs used to have to pay to test their game) is a thing.
Steam is the new Blockbuster, but at least when you gave Blockbuster money they told you you were only renting the game.
Fuck Steam and any shitty service like it, and fuck anyone who actually gives them money. Steam and the people who support them are a cancer on PC gaming.
Is this worth the $8.74 for the game + season pass?

Ammo is super scarce and melee attacks are as effective as whacking enemies with a piss soaked sock. The game highly favors stealth but the stealth mechanics are janky as fuck. Enemies follow the same scripted patterns and your stealth kill is the same recycled animation of stabbing a zombie in the brain.
If you've never played Resident Evil 4, then you might find it enjoyable.
