sorry to respond to bait, but just to point out the misleading headline, he says
>record-setting sell-out times
which means absolutely nothing
can someone tell me why people like stalker
i genuinely do not understand the fascination with it
it has nothing amazing going for it apart from muh atmosphere, which can barely be achieved without mods
quests are regular fetch X do Y kill some dudes bullshit while having to traverse 200 miles of grass and broken buildings
no enemy variety, all enemies feel the same
shooty dudes, mutants that run up an melee you and bloodsuckers
graphics and animations are subpar even for the time, enemies still feel like bullet sponges even on master
story is hot garbage

>inb4 "super deep combat cuz it isnt hitscan bro"
it's okay when slavs do it
I completely agree. This is the opinion I always post in "unpopular opinions" threads. I played the first one with no mods, it was pretty mediocre at best. Never touched any of the others but I own them all on steam because they were all on sale for a dollar or something years ago.
I'll never get it. The gunplay felt like shit, the movement felt like shit. The story is really obscure and ambiguous. There's almost zero direction on what to do. The environment is just open and bland. It's always rainy and overcast.
In fact now that I think of it, it's actually a pretty spot on rural Russia simulator.
Has anybody here played Sky Rogue? It just released out of early access on steam and I'm not sure if I should drop £10 on it.
Missing Ace Combat games on PC, so anybody got any alternatives if pic related is shitty?
I really enjoyed Raider's Sphere 3rd. There's the 4th on steam but I haven't played it.
Sky Rogue also caught my attention but I haven't played that either.

Its decent enough but it's not gonna replace AC if you're looking for a story or great music.
Def worth the price though.

Everything seemed fine here.
I'm sure not every corner of Earth was destroyed because of the Combine
Just say "multiverse" and you've automatically explained any inconsistencies.

>ITT: Severely underrated titles in their respective series
>great bosses and art direction
>great atmosphere that is probably only beat out by SC4, SotN, and Curse of Darkness
>great out
>fun and one of the few legitimately challenging exploration platformers out there

One of my favorites.
Also although harmony of despair is criminally easy, the castle design, items, explorations and puzzles are all pretty damn good. The relic shit is cool too. It's a shame the art style, boss patterns and and just easiness of the game let it down so much.

this would have been one of the greatest third person shooters if it wasnt for the constant unskippable custences every 5 minutes
No it wouldn't, the gameplay is clunky and sluggish.

Okay, Sonic Mania managed to sell over 500,000 units, and per the agreement, the team can now move on to the next Sonic project.
It was a success.
We did it.
You did it.
Thank you for buying the most definitive sonic in 20 years.
I'll leave you with some tidbits, as we have no idea
4 zones were cut due to budgetary/time constraints.
1 Original.
3 Remixed classics.
These were all highly wanted zones from Sonic 2, 3 and Knuckles.
This may end up on the cutting room floor, unless the team is able to continue development on them in the subsequent project.
Do not expect to see these in DLC, unless Sega changes their minds.
DLC was never part of the deal with Sonic Team, something I couldn't understand.
The team is going to attempt to have lock-on technology, where if someone owns Mania andwork in progress, they can play through both games in the exact same fashion that you are able to in S3&K.
With all of the improvements that the audience expects.
Greater creative freedom will be granted to the team in subsequent title(s)we hope
We're listening. We know what you want. We are trying our best, but copyrights and licenses are tricky business. Expect to hear from the team in a few months or so.
Thank you to everyone. One other thing. There's a few things still hidden in Mania. Haven't seen them mentioned. So keep searching, because there's still a few secrets waiting.

is 2 better than 1?
should I play first 1 and then 2?
I got 1 but I lost some countries when doing two or three missions and got scared, then restarted
same thing happened again and then I was too scared to play and lose countries
should I don't give a fuck about that an play 1, or skip to 2?
>>388219485
I like 2 better, but you might want to start with 1 because most people find 2 harder. What did you do to lose countries that fast
>>388219881
can't remember man, I just did missions to prevent countries to panic but couldn't do everything at the same time
>>388219485
Stop being a fag and just play the damn games. You realize you can lose up to 8 countries before you lose right? If your playing on classic+ and you make it past the first 3 month hump you should be fine.
Personally, I like EU better than XCOM 2 and EW is just even better. I dont think its necessary to play them in order though. Its not like the situation that youre in at the beginning of XCOM 2 is fully explained anyways. So really, in terms of story you arent losing/gaining much by playing them in order/not order.
