Remove Zelda and replace it with Yakuza.

Didn't you hear? It's that time again where /v/ starts to hate those games
Why does /v/ think ecelebs help sell games?
Because it does you dumb fuck
>>375840348
A shitty generic screamer game got 24k sales and you say it isn't proof that eceleb shit works?
>>375840348
It's not sure-fire because sometimes people just watch instead of buying, but indie horror as a genre wouldn't be anywhere near as big if they didn't occasionally make obscene amounts of money thanks to ecelebs. Five Nights is a good example of this, and normies wouldn't have given a shit about Amnesia if it weren't for youtube either
so when do i get to fuck peebee?

If you were to make NotStar Fox Game how would you do it?
1.What characters would you use?
Anthro Animals or something else?
2.What setting would you choose ?
3.Could a Star Fox like game be made in a setting other than space? What would that be?
4.What flaws of the main series would you change to make it 10/10 representative of the genre?
5.What gameplay elements would it need to include?
A better question would be: How do we make rail-shooters popular again. Fortunately, it has a solution already.SEGA needs to remember Panzer Dragoon exists.
>>375840162
> Panzer Dragoon
I've never heard of that.
I need to look it up.
>>375840537
You can' make a thread about Rail Shooters without having ever played Panzer Dragoon. Go get educated, swine.
Play the first three on the Saturn, and the 4th game on the OG Xbox. The 3rd Saturn game is an RPG, but don't skip it. It's one of the best RPGs ever.
>Since March, YouTubers have watched their revenue plummet as advertisers bleed out of the platform. Some videos containing violence, real or fictional, are considered “inappropriate for advertising.”
>After Activision announced upcoming Call of Duty title, Call of Duty: WWII last week, the community’s financial problems took a turn for the worse. Viewers and fans want to hear about the next CoD game, but as a result of its WWII theme, YouTubers are risking demonetization by talking about it.
>PrestigeIsKey, a Call of Duty YouTuber with over a million subscribers, published a video on Sunday about how his channel is struggling with demonetization. “At first,” he said, “I thought this wouldn’t affect gamers because, obviously, video games aren’t real.” When the demonetization crisis was in full swing, his channel suffered enormously because it depicts fictional war.
>Now, that he’s trying to cover the news of the upcoming World War II-themed Call of Duty game, his channel is financially gutted. In the week since WWII was announced, YouTube demonetized several of his videos.
>Across YouTube, ads have stopped appearing on some videos with “vulgar language,” “disasters and tragedies,” sexually suggestive content or “subjects related to war.” That’s because, after the Wall Street Journal reported on ads appearing on racist videos, advertisers like AT&T pulled YouTube ads en masse. To get them back, in March, YouTube introduced “brand safety controls.” Advertisers could choose to avoid “higher risk content,” like anything referencing marijuana or war. Channels as big as PewDiePie and H3H3Productions say they’ve been making way less money in comparison to their earnings from earlier this year.
>YouTube has told content creators to make family friendly videos which doesn't help gamers as most games depict violence.
Fuck the Wall Street Journal. They're literally kill vidya content from YouTube.
Why the fuck are advertisers reacting to WSJ? No one reads them anyways. The only reason they have a reputation is because they were relevant 10-20 years ago.
>>375839889
I work as a marketer at a major company. We're not risking running ads on some idiot's video where he might be advocating Nazism and other gross stuff.
>>375840035
>no one reads the WSJ
No, retarded millennials don't read them. Business leaders, politicians, executives, and the wealthy do. You know, the people that actually have power.

you do realise we also get paid a lot more and it's completely idiotic to compare prices in Canada and America without taking everything else into account, right?

you feel it too, don't you?
I've gotta ask something.
So I've just been here, laying in bed browsing /v/ as I sometimes do, just to keep up with the vidya world and see what's shit/not shit. And as always, a good chunk of the discussion has to deal with Japanese games.
Now I'm here to ask, in the kindest possible manner, why is that? What is that Japanese games possess that makes them so attractive to so many people? It's something I've never really understood, and I'd like to shed some light on it.
I mean, I've obviously played Nintendo stuff, and I've messed around with a few different series over the years just as friends houses and whatnot, but for the most part I find them too over-the-top and... gamey? If that makes sense. I know it's rich coming from a video game nerd, but things like big combo fonts or outlandish costumes just draw me out of the experience. It makes me feel funny and childish.
So yeah, I'm genuinely interested, since it's clear there's stuff to like in them, even if I don't see it.
Look at the website you're on.
Since you posted Valk, that's a legitimately fun, despite it being janky, turn-based game that the west hasn't attempted properly.
Japanese games are often experimental/uncaring making for some weird, but enjoyable experiences, anon.
What more do you need to know?
>>375839913
This.
Just look at this year's releases. I can't name any North American releases that were that good, maybe Horizon? But Japanese games....Persona 5, Yakuza 0, Nioh, etc.
I also think that JPN games are more focused on gameplay and difficulty. NA games tend to be openworld crap nowadays. I want narrative based stories and you find that a lot in JPN games.
>Now I'm here to ask, in the kindest possible manner, why is that? What is that Japanese games possess that makes them so attractive to so many people? It's something I've never really understood, and I'd like to shed some light on it.
Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but I generally just like the way Japs makes their games better.
Generally speaking, they'll start out by making the gameplay mechanics first, and then they'll write the story and characters afterwards to fit the gameplay; while the west generally does the opposite. This is why characters like Bayonetta have guns on her heels, not for some significant story reason, but simply because "What if we made a game were the protag can strap weapons to both her arms AND feet?"
It's why Japs are generally the only ones who can do good boss fights, because boss fights are really only something that works if you treat video games as video games. You have to put gameplay mechanics above realism.
Also, I like how stupid and self-indulgent they can be.
How can we cure this poor soul?

>Japan even has VR arcades
>the best looking VR games right now are by Japanese devs and they don't rely on motion controls
>the Japanese are the ones exploring smell tech and further advancements the most
Japan is going to save gaming once again. Why is the west so uncultured and clueless?
if you love japan so much why dont you go over there?
Only Japan would be interested in Vaporware.

Do you like Fallout 4?
>>375837928
I liked what they did to Power Armors. Everything else was shit.
When will they let Obsidian make a new Fallout?
>>375837928
I think it's alright. The open world is the best there's ever been in a bethesda game in terms of environmental storytelling.
The main storyline however, is complete shit. And what few quests there are, are short and underdeveloped.
The settlement system is.. waaaaay too prevalent as well. If there were only three places for it, it'd be good. However, there's over like, 30 of them in the game.
I hope that Bethesda can implement it better next time.
>>375837928
i hated it.
all of it, every last thing about that game i hate.
