Am I doing something wrong? I hear this is the best game ever so I'm download it, pick warrior class, get some low level armor and an iron shortsword, then do the first quest for the fighter's guild.
I have to kill three rats and while the first one was easy the two upstairs are murdering me. I went out and got some better armor but I just stand there swinging and swinging and the game only registers one or two hits out of 10. And these fucking rats just keep murdering me.
What am I doing wrong?

Why is it possible to implement dynamic lights in very version of idtech including Quake 1 and Quake 2 so far but it's apparently too resource heavy for every other engine in 2017?
Why the fuck does anyone even bother using engines that aren't idtech when idtech is so obviously superior to modern engines?

There used to be a time where almost anyone could get their hands on Quake 3 engine, though. Lots of games using idTech 3.
But yeah I honestly don't understand how other engines even justify their existence when older engines not only manage to do shit that engines today can't but also do it with less computational resources required for it.
UE4 nearly crashes your PC if it has to render more than a single dynamic light.

What stops Nintendo from making a more powerful $250-$300 console that upscales the whole 3DS/DS libraries as well as have its own exclusives? You can already upscale games with 3DS emulator Citra, what stops nintendo from doing the same with a new, actually powerful device?

Most vidya butts which are supposed to look sexy are of the fit-fat type. Fit-fat is when the butt has enough muscle to form a great shape, but so much fat on top any hint of muscle definition is hidden.
A fit-fat butt is also big, otherwise there wouldn't be any room for all that extra padding.
I think we can all admit this is by far the most common butt in vidya nowadays. Is this a good or a bad thing? Can it be improved upon?

You can say that Tomb Raider and Uncharted look the same, ergo all modern games look the same, but Uncharted is literally just Tomb Raider with a dude. And there were plenty of same looking games back when Oblivion was released, or MGS3. That was nearing the height of brown n bloom

Yes actually, I literally finished it two days ago for the first time.
It starts out fantastic, then it starts throwing annoying as fuck witch time mandatory enemies at you; and then the game literally starts rehashing enemies and locations from the first game, not to mention it peters out at just 16 chapters.
A bit disappointing really.
