How many years has it been since a AAA game has been genuinely good? I can't believe a AAA studio created a modern, non-dumbed down, version of system shock that feels like it was made for the PC first.
Could video games actually be getting better?
>>376492795
Dying Light is a good AAA game.
DOOM is a good AAA game.
However, they were not made for PC first.
I'm fairly sure that Homefront The Revolution was actually made for PC first.
Also, what makes you think that Prey was made for PC first?
>>376492795
bump
>>376492795
give it up its a bad game no one knows wtf its about flop of the century
Sales are incredibly low, given their mass advertising by paying youtubers and streamers for positive coverage this is quite a surprise.
The game has sold 150k units worldwide on steam, this is a very low number. Even Dishonored 2, which was considered a failure sold 650k units.

Mario cart 8 outsold prey on with all platform sales combined (ps4, xbox 1, and pc).
Will Bethesda revise their review policies do you think after this financial failure?
>using steamspy when the game just released

Less about rednecks, more about cults/hyper-crazy religion.

What's the best boss battle in WoW?
Maloriak because i could do half second interrupts (the boss timer mod helped as well) and everyone in my guild thought that i was god.

yogg was cool
If talking sheer intricacy in mechanics, Archimonde in HFC or Gul'dan in Nighthold. They are both like the Vergil 3s of MMORPGs.
In terms of unique mechanics, the two boss fights in the BRF raid from WoD that have that part of the stage itself attacking you.
For sheer epicness factor, Kael'thas from Tempest Keep in TBC with all the legendary weapons and it's multiple stages.
For atmosphere, context, and lore, it's gotta be Yogg-Saron. The Storm Peaks zone quests were the best in WOTLK, and they all build up to Ulduar itself. That entire journey, the Old God stuff that happens in the fight, and the other mechanics really make this fight feel epic. Wrath's the one expansion where it felt like the non-main threat really stole the show in how well everything was done around it.
For some personal memories, Ozruk in Stonecore in Cataclysm (or at least his Heroic version, pre-nerf.) He's not a raid boss like the rest, but he was hard as shit back then. Probably one of the if not the toughest dungeon bosses ever, and arguably the main reason people bitched for nerfs back then. With some people leaving, one of the officers getting cancer, and the guild leader plus another officer having personal IRL issues, I had to learn to lead things for once while also teaching a bunch of less experienced guys what to do. These guys are now those that I am closest with in the guild now. It's the turning point for me from pre-Wrath WoW to post-Wrath WoW.
With soon death of Ubisoft and all deserved hate it gets let's remember the time when Ubisoft was legit good and innovative
I loved the world of pic related filled with different characters and photo hunt. Jade is still the best girl
PROPOGANDA

>death of ubisoft
keep dreaming faggot
BGE, Rayman 2, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Prince of Persia Sands of Time.
What did /v/ think of these games? Especially the older ones
I think that Arkham Asylum was the best game in the series. It had the best atmosphere and story, and the semi linear areas gave you just enough freedom. The combat in Asylum isn't as refined as in the later installments, but it's still pretty good. This game also had great bosses, and the best HUD. Some of the moments were pretty spooky too>That scene where the game makes you think your system corrupted
City was also good, but it just didn't capture the same feel as Asylum did, but the open world was nice and the improvements in the game mechanics were good. This game also had great bosses.
Origins is pretty forgotten, but it wasn't that bad. Certainly not as good as the rest of the series, but it was okay. I remember playing the multiplayer a little, it was fun. Good bosses in this too.
The PC port was atrocious, but Knight was a pretty good game. I'd say it has the best mechanics, but there was just way too much of batmobile. Also it didn't have any real bosses, and that was a big disappointment to me.
The Scarecrow stuff isnt all that impressive considering Psychomantis did it nearly a decade prior
>>376487512
I agree 100%
Nice to read someone who does not spout the same city meme
>>376487712
Yeah. I liked City, but it wasn't *that* good. Asylum I beat 4 times. It's not really a big thing but I even bothered to beat it on hard, I remember feeling pretty good about it because the game tells you that hard mode should only be played by pros
What went so fucking wrong?
Does anyone still play this game anymore?
simpsons?
>>376487531
What?
Not hating family, but there is a board for this shit for a reason. Pokemon is like 50% of video games.
Anyway, it went wrong because they did not update this shit and did not follow the hype at all. Which is understandable since they got no support from Nintendo at all. But I always have been thinking this is because Nintendo is probably planning some sort of Switch based Pokemon system that is similar to the Pokemon Go system, but this is probably obvious and I'm sure everyone has thought the same thing.

pretty much the entire game soundtrack.
Why is it that Nintendo characters are written so poorly?
I loved the base story and designs of everything in Wild, but I despise the writing and had to start skipping the cut scenes. Why are they so bad when the rest of the game is so good?
gameplay focus
always have been
>>376486584
Because Nintendo doesn't care about story, just the gameplay.
>>376486681
>>376486710
Thank god for that
Well /v/? Is he right?
>>376486012
Literally who?

I'm going to kill you

Friendly reminder that Link lost due to arrogance.
He would have won if he hadn't been too proud to carry a shield.
What happened to the chosen hero being humble and prepared rather than hot-headed and rash?
Link inherited the Master Sword from his dad but not his shield. He also died from fatigue, not a Guardian
>>376485691
The master sword chose Link, there's no indication of how he got it other than that
>>376485445
Why does link literally protect a tease? Why even bother.
