I'm a Nintenbro, but it's silly to consider this to be a big accomplishment.
The Xbox One and PS4 have been out for a few years now, the Pro and Scorpio is the same shit but with better specs, they're not full-fledged new console. Only a small percentage of the owners of these systems will upgrade, and most normies would prefer the cheaper option. The Switch is a brand new console, it damn well better have more interest.

We're so far past the point of realizing that developers have no new ideas, and can do nothing but increase the fidelity on the same old crap, that's it's not even worth commenting on anymore

The innovative ideas of 20 years ago, that haven't already been implemented into modern AAA console crap, have been largely forgotten, because complexity or difficulty, or emergent interaction is simply not profitable to the target audience of low brow starbucks-tier shit like this game you've mentioned

These problems aren't going away, because each new audience is unaware that all of this territory has been covered by old, better games, while marketers and merchants get more efficient at draining money from underage idiots. Compare television and movies for confirmation.

First part of it is that nobody is going to care about the Vanquish PC port except for people who wanted it in 60/144FPS. The second part is that advertising about the unlocked resolution and framerate was only four words buried in the rest of an action packed teaser trailer. If you only focused on that, then you only have yourself to blame.
