Trust me OP, he's great.

Daisoujou is one of the best demons in the game. He can regen his own HP and mana. Combined with having both the strongest heal spel in the game and insta kill spells he will be usefull until the endgame.

Well it;s recommend that you go for Kalpa as soon as they are available, but if they are hard then you should continue on for better demons. Asakusa has new Magatama and the tunnels has some good demons to recruit

Daisoujou can carry your ass throughout the game as the best support demon in the game

Absolutely not the Playstation version, load times are horrible and there's really nothing that's better about it.

GBA version has bonus content, and I think some bug fixes, so most people will tell you to play it with a patch that fixes the GBA's color pallet and inferior sound quality to be equivilant to the SNES version.

They can't however patch the screen resolution, which is still in the advantage of the SNES

The script translation quality is a point of contention about what is better between GBA and SNES, but what's for sure is that a couple extra things got censored/changed for the GBA version.

It's a 2D, pixel based game so it's not really a problem. Rather than image clarity being lower due to lower res, with 2D you simple see less shit, think draw distance.
Let's say that on SNES you can see 20x18 tiles, but on GBA you see 16x14 and the tiles at the edges that would be normally there you simply can't see until you move in that direction, that kind of thing. Ultimately irrelevant.

Yep, you need to finish the prologue with Nimue first though, you'll be given the option of changing your allegiance too, the canon faction is Avalon though.

Is that supposed to be bad? You're reading a book that is supposed to turn you into the greatest wizard ever, what would be the point if you couldn't read anything? The lore is fundamental for understanding the story and characters.

No, I was just surprised. Is it unique to Delta ? I've read pretty much everything except for the monsters entry I haven't fought (which is a lot) I also stopped reading field description when I saw they put monsters story in some of them.

DD if you want action RPG. XC if you want offline MMO.

Prefer XC myself due to the more interesting world to explore, but I've played both extensively and have enjoyed both. If you get DD remember the game does not open up at all until Gran Soren. So at least give it a chance until then.

Personally i had more fun with xenoblade where as i couldn't be bothered to finish dragons dogma.

Story, gameplay, scale of the world you visit, the many locations you visit are much more interesting imo and the characters have plenty of combat dialogue so you won't get tired of hearing them versus DD's tiny battle dialogue script.
