Surely if the kiss were real someone would have drawn it on pixiv.
Silver is there, if it were real he'd have drawn 10 MadoHomu kisses by now.
I'm sure the final product will have some sort of gay moment at the end, but a kiss now would end everyone.
they're too soft to be fangs! probably either intentional and just meant to be a regular, not-enhanced canine just being visible past her lips or else an issue when they were inking
Well, it does, but it's an utterly miniscule amount since it's set in a non-Rebellion future and as far as I'm aware the author wasn't interested in making Madoka or Sayaka come back to life. I dunno, it's been ages since I read it. It's an interesting read but it doesn't feel like a Madoka fic.
On the subject on fics I haven't read in ages, it's a Christmas miracle and A Happy Dream updated. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6897900/15/A-Happy-Dream But again, I don't know. It doesn't feel as good as it used to when I was younger. Guess my tastes refined a bit?
The guy with this artsyle. pretty distinctive, since he's from like, the philippines or oceania or some shit. once you get used to it, it's endearing, and he's one of those artists who just "gets" the characters and the show.
"There was a cut that looked like ballerina Madoka and Homura were kissing in the background"
>There was a tweet about the updated concept movie that said "まどほむ勢は泣く" (MadoHomu fans will cry)
Is this a good cry or really awful cry?
>he's one of those artists who just "gets" the characters and the show.
Not one...you should searching on twitter ,there have many good doujinka with good interpretation of character...or maybe you should read female doujinka madomagi...ya know yamaako right?
Could you elaborate on this. I've read some of his halo books and A Happy Dream but this comparison seems odd to me. Though I admit the fic does not feel the way it used to.
It has a very similar atmosphere to how early Halo lore used to have. Mostly in how mysterious and incomprehensible the motives of the alien's are, just like how nobody could understand what the Covenant's deal was.
The Magical Girls also feel a lot like Spartans in the way they're treated as special elite soldiers and how propaganda portrays them. Plus, many of them are child soldiers who volunteered, similarly to the Spartan 3's.
Alright, after lurking a bit more the chances that it was a kiss are pretty low but they do get really close. Apparently one of the added scenes has Homura leading Madoka up stairs that reach up to the heavens/sky.
Also the witch runes from the concept movie got updated: http://w0s.jp/diary/445
>Apparently one of the added scenes has Homura leading Madoka up stairs that reach up to the heavens/sky.
Damn, not wanting to be a pessimist but we even getting to see the original concept movie that soon was a major stroke of luck that may well not happen again. That seems like big stuff that we may have to suffer without seeing it for ourselves for a longer while.
Come to think of it, if I'm not misremembering stuff there supposedly was stuff like Gretchen and a shot of Sayaka's soul gem going dark that didn't actually happen on the one recording we got. The first may even be the nips mistaking it for the giant Charlotte look alike that Mami was standing on, but the latter is too specific for that unless, again, I am getting it mixed up. Could it be that there already were more versions we did not know of?
I don't think so, they were also surprised when type B was announced. The stuff you mentioned like Gretchen might just be about the Inu Curry display but the post wasn't clear about it.
The new runes roughly translates to:
"Return to the Magical Law(Law of Cycles), take away this person's freedom and love."
>Sayaka pinned down by arrows
Madoka, stop. Plz no bully Sayaka ; ;
Oh right, I forgot Bowmura was a thing.
I actually want to see Homura bully Sayaka a whole lot.
But only if it leads to a mutual encounter, and especially if it doesn't lead to Madoka immediately forgiving Homura if Sayaka dies.
For the record these tall Sayaka pics are from a universe where everything is the same but Sayaka is ridiculously tall.
So with this most recent update, who else is feeling MadoHomu 4ever with a side order of suffering?
Just ignore him. He's been doing this for a while now.
Time skip, everyone is slightly older, Madoka and Homura are dating. Homura's cuffs are unraveled and she's wearing Madoka's ribbon as her school bow tie because they just did the nasty and she didnt have time to get dressed.
Sayaka might be easy but she's being bedded by someone who can control her.
>Get's Homu pregnant multiple times and disappears until the kids are older
>Proceeds to get Homu pregnant again
Didnt realize Madoka had those trailer park values. Homu still loves her tho.
you're going to troll, do it right.
"Madoka would never have sex with Homura because she hates her" this is correct
"She'd have sex with Sayaka" this is wrong because you're supposed to say she's straight to piss off the KyoSaya fans. If youre going to troll, atleast do it right you stupid ass.
Not true, just countering HomuHater's bs lines. Madoka loves Homura, but it's all on the subtext level at the moment. The Rebellion ends by the time Homura is able to spit it out. That's why we're pumped about this project.
I am happy with the end of Rebellion and I don't think it needs a continuation, but this conversation about happiness was pretty cool so if it gets a new movie I'm okay with it.
One could also say the series didnt need Rebellion. I dont even expect it to be as good as Rebellion, and let's be honest: the last 20 or so minutes made Rebellion. At this point it's about closure more than anything.
the last 20 minutes made Rebellion insofar as it being a part of the series - but the movie is solid on it's own, and is just gorgeous.
honestly, it's one of my favorite animated features for the soundtrack and the animation quality alone - only complaint is they didn't hold shots for longer.
always said I'd love a re-release that did it Ghost in the Shell (1995) style and held out every shot for 4-10 seconds each. movie would take forever, but it'd be so good to look at...
I get the feeling he's not like anticrack-kun, though. Anticrack-kun is serious and passionate and you can tell he truly believes the words he speaks (for whatever reason). Homuhater's just a dedicated shitstirrer.
On a metaphysical level, sure, I loved the ending. But Rebellion only expands on it and delivers a reply that interacts with the original in a cool way, that makes you think.
On a more emotional level, fuck that. I sure didn't hold the ending dear. Homura and Kyouko fought and fought and never got shit. They ended up alone, unable to move on from what they lost. But what, having a life that amounts to jack shit is supposed to be okay because there are free hugs in the afterlife? That's a story I just can't relate to. Fuck that, and fuck the "Homura fights mindlessly until she expires in the desert one day" bullshit that everyone clung to before Rebellion. She's a human being, not Hachi the dog.
I'm more glad that my two favorite characters have a chance at happiness, than I was before.
>destroy what we hold dear for the lulz
As much as I love spending my time hating on Urobotchi, his love for lesbians gives me hope that if anyone is finally willing to make the transition from subtext to maintext, it's him.
But of course that's only 0.0001% likely to happen, and instead everyone will suffer because happiness killed his dog or something. If only Homura ends up trapped in darkness for eternity or whatever, that's basically a happy ending. Fuck this gay world.
Pretty much this. Ive come to view Rebellion as Homura inadvertedly creating a second chance to reunite with Madoka in a meaningful way. Laying down and dying like a good girl wasnt her and Id like to see her efforts rewarded in some way.
If somebody says it's wrong to hope (for a happy yuri ending), I'll tell them their wrong everytime.
I dont think this series is dark enough to do that. It's not happy enough to bring everyone back to life and let the girls lead a normal life, but I dont think it's dark enough to eternally seperate Madoka and Homura considering that's already been their entire story up to this point.
>not Haichi the dog
Are you implying that Homura isn't Madoka's bitch?
There is no way Madoka and Homura will not end up together the way they want to be.
Someday, when the franchise has gone on as long as Berserk, we will get older Nagisa.
Please refer to this guide on the mating habits of magical girls.
"Madoka... my one and my only friend. I don't care... because if it's for you, I'll stay trapped in this endless maze... forever."
I have a feeling we're going to get something along that sentiment again, except this time it will be bittersweet rather than tragic.
Except Madoka would never allow it, and is in the prime position to do something about it this time.
People need to remember that what Madoka wants most of all is to be with Homura, and if she can't get that then she will continue hoping until she makes it happen.
Sorry if I wasnt clear.
I honestly believe Madoka would let the world burn if it meant never reuniting with Homura again. At the time, becoming god made sense, but there was no way she could understand the ramifications of her wish. She's 13 years old. When Homura asks Madoka if she would follow her heart, it was such vague and weird question that a mind wiped Madoka had no other way to respond. Madoka broke the universe once already because she thought the rules werent fair.
I meant if they become a concept together, Homura wouldnt care if they had to fight witches for eternity. She is already willing to suffer for eternity for Madoka. But together, they can support each other and relieve each others burden. They would be able to fulfill both wishes, Madoka the savior and Homura the protector.
The real wild card is Madoka's theoretical 2nd wish in Homuverse.
>There is no way Madoka and Homura will not end up together the way they want to be.
>The conclusion of franchise as a whole will not spin wildly out of control
>tearing the fabric of reality apart
>convolute time and reality until things get too confusing for anyone to understand and the audience nods like we do at a mark rothko painting
>"riveting yes! complex and yet creative yeah!"
>so stupidly fantastical
>that in the end
yuno wakes up from sleeping in art class to find a very creep painting she made, gets embarrassed when miyako tries to look, all the while the cast of madoka are making cameo appearances as their classmates in the backgrounds
yeah I'm sad about it too.
I dont want to say he's lost his "edge", but Expelled from Paradise and Gargantia were pretty damn tame for what I expected of Urobuchi. Even Psycho Pass ended up being humanity affirming in the end.
Oh I agree. The fact that Madoka and Homura will probably accept a pretty liberal definition of happiness makes it more likely we'll get happy lesbians. I just meant he seems pretty distant from his LN and Saya no Uta days.
On a more general note, I ordered Ayanero Taicho's new MadoHomu Christmas Story as well as Maitake's Fallen Girlfriend. I'll upload them when they come in and get them scanned.
Did a bit of lurking. It looks like they only showed the Type B video on the 22nd. Probably to prevent another leak. People who saw it the video on the 23rd said it was the same as Tokyo's video. Id love it if anyone can confirm or deny. It's just an educated guess on my part. Considering those extra scenes...
We might see a type C in Feb. The last day of Madogatari is on Valentines Day, so maybe some sort of annoucement.
Have a merry Christmas and/or happy holiday.
I know someone on facebook who saw it on the 24th and she sketched some of the new scenes. She drew a scene in which Mami and Sayaka were fighting together, and on where Sayaka and Homura were in a dungeon-like scene. She also said that the background of Ballet Madoka was different and that the flashes of Inu Curry's art were replaced by a storyboard. There are possibly new characters, but she may be referring to those "fairies" near the end of the original concept movie (just a guess that's what she means, I didn't see the second version.) She said that the scenes went by so fast that it was hard to see, but she is going to see the concept film again tomorrow on Christmas. Lucky her...
Would love to see those sketches. Based on the stairway thing mentioned yesterday, Im not even worried about MadoHomu anymore.
Based on the fairy thing, I think those may be the witches from the series in MG form. They resembled some of the girls from Magia. Theyre up against 14, possible 15, magical girl level Clara dolls and countless familiars. Theyd need back up.
They really aren't much, but I'm sure she'll post more or update them later on. From what I saw in the original concept movie, I'm thinking that the "fairies" Madoka mentioned are the Clara Dolls that are in a more human/magical girl/less creepy form. Either that, or they are the human-forms of the witches. (Now that I think about it, it would make more sense that they would be the human forms of old witches such as Gertrud that would aid in fighting the Clara Dolls.)
That is true. At the same time, I noticed that we at no point see Mami directly confronting Homura outside of roasting the devil creature, and the Homura we do see has the hour glass shield. In theory she should still be using the bow, mind wipe, and telekinesis. BUT there's a chance she can just use all of her collective abilities, being a god level magical girl and all. But she's also the only magical girl weve seen able to manifest in her own labrynth AND in her own universe.
She's talking to Sayaka and both are in school uniforms. Prolly some hardcore exposition.
If so, then things are going to be more interesting, but that can't be possible since Homura's development is over. Unless Madoka gave the ribbon back to her. That scene with her and Sayaka maybe when she starts to help Madoka or something?
Her development is over, but that doesnt mean she wont be a central plot point.
I agree with that idea. Homu gave the ribbons back as symbol of her opposition to Madoka's wish and a sign of them becoming enemies. If Madoka gave the ribbons back, and Homura wearing them again, to me it would would mean she accepts Madoka's friendship/love/skinship again.
I also think the chancs of Kyubey pulling some shit are pretty high. He's wanted Madoka and we see her reflected in his eyes in the concept movie. I wouldnt be surprised if he fucks over Homura and gets his hands on Madoka.
I feel like my best girl will be the bad guy/side lined until the MadoHomu flag is officially raised.
Kyoko, my number 2, doesnt even seem to have a role in this film.
Number 3 seems useless until she starts regaining her memories.
Im left with Sayaka and Mami based on the trailer. Im not a huge fan or either.
>Mami begins the battle, eventually falls
>Sayaka vows to finish the fight
I'm fine with this.
If she is channeling god-tier strength, I can see Mami defeating Homura. Rather than kill her, she returns Homura's actions in Rebellion by not executing her.
If Mami cant beat her, there's no way Sayaka Miki can.
Sayaka might hate her, but I think Mami and especially Kyoko wont be nearly as vehement about it.
You're underestimating Sayaka, overestimating Mami, and undermining Homura.
This isn't going to end with a clean "good overcomes evil" victory. No one's going to come out of this smiling in the end. At the worst it's going to end with one or more Meguca killed during the struggle and Homura left to deal with an angry Madoka in the end.
>Under estimating Sayaka
Unless she becomes god tier, you're dramatically overestimating Sayaka. Considering Mami is the only one to have engaged and defeated Homura, I think you're the one underestimating Mami. How am I undermining Homura by saying she has enough integrity to not execute Mami or that psycho might actually be defeated by Mami?
Does it make Sayaka fans mad that Mami and Nagisa might actually get screen time and development this time around?
Is this Nanoha? It's a fight between a suicidal masochist and the embodiment of hope and mercy. They'll fight, but this series has a whole 20-30 minutes of combat over its current 6 1/2 hour run time.
>No one will come out smiling
Watching Sayaka Miki die again (doubt it) will make me smile, that's for sure.
Sayaka is already dead bro. She's only alive due to Homura's interference. She died at the end of the series and she'd die again once Homura is defeated
Why should anyone care about her death for the 3rd time?
Still, it looked like the silhouettes weren't true magical girls like Sayaka and Nagisa and she could be just slapping a name onto them. It could be part of the LoC trying to contact her.
>weakest of the five magical girls?
At least she's still stronger than Nagisa.
There's an outdated (from before the series was done so characters developed through the course of writing) version for the series proper. However, it applies even less post-Rebellion because regardless of whether you like her or not Sayaka definitely had a power boost from being part of the LoC.
Hell no, Homura and Madoka are my favorite. Some of these popular doujinshi just butcher them to no end.
Everyone except Kyoko and Madoka got a massive power up in Rebellion. Mami had her Tiro Nuke and Homura became a goddess. Sayaka at best caught Homura off guard before being kicked in the gut.
Yeah, I was joking. Urobuchi did say Sayaka was the weakest and Mami was the strongest, but he also stipulated that anyone can fuck up in a fight.
not that anon, but Kairakuen Umeka is my favorite.

My facebook friend saw the new concept movie again today on Christmas and did a great job on explaining some details from memory. This is what she wrote:
"Summary of replaced scenes in Type-B that I can remember:
- Ballet Madoka standing before Homura, who's sitting on a chair. The view from Madoka's behind.
- Madoka looking something through a hole. Behind her, there's a shadow that third of its face is covered by a white mask on the right side. The view from the hole.
- Mami fighting againt a Wraith. The view from her behind.
- Madoka (in her normal magical suit?) standing in a corridor of a place. Left and right of her are two statues of swan, which are pierced by a sword for each. Behind them are going-up stairs. In ceiling, chandelier is hung by a logo of LoC.
- There are, at least, two new characters. Coming with them is other magical girls who was rescured by Madokami in last episode of TV series, when Madoka became god. One of them: https://wiki.puella-magi.net/File:Bear_girl_2.png
- Mami and Sayaka in magical form do ready-to-fighting pose. They look to the left side.
- Sayaka and Homura in school uniform standing before a hole on wall, it looks like a door. This door is closed by crosslegged black grids. Sayaka trying to watch what's behind that door. The view from their behind.
- Homura (in black dress) and Madoka (in white dress) stepping on a long stair. Homura goes first, Madoka follows right behind, but her head is looking back. The view from their behind.
- The Wraith that Oktavia fighting looks like this one: http://bato.to/reader#1f98bcb043619247_25
- On the scene that shows Madoka's new magical clothes, in this Type-B, we can see fully the back of its design. A big ribbon behind. But the problem is... it's no head (what was hiden in Type-A)!
There're still other scenes (about Kyouko, Nagisa, one of Clara dolls, ...), but I couldn't remember. Its flashing was too fast. So, hope you find okay with just these ones..."
Thanks a bunch for sharing this and thanks a bunch to your friend.
Looks like the magic girls from all time are coming to help with this. I'm glad there was actual Kyoko in some of the scenes.
We know from Rebellion that Homura made the "right" decision based on the wrong info. If there are two Madokas, it looks like the Swan Lake references are becoming pretty apparent.
>Black dress and white dress
Well, looks like they're getting married (I hope).
Number 15 lacks a head. In Rebellion, 15 is dressed as both Homura and Madoka in the posters on the wall.
Madoka Plus shuts down today, final card archive:
63 Madoka x Homura
42 Sayaka x Kyouko
28 Mami x Nagisa
13 Madoka x Sayaka, Homura x Mami, Homura x Kyouko
11 Mami x Madoka, Mami x Sayaka, Mami x Kyouko
9 Homura x Sayaka
8 Madoka x Nagisa
7 Madoka x Kyouko
4 Kyouko x Nagisa
2 Sayaka x Nagisa
1 Homura x Nagisa
>Madoka looking something through a hole. Behind her, there's a shadow that third of its face is covered by a white mask on the right side
That sounds like something from a horror movie holy shit, I'm guessing it's Gretchen behind her?
It sounds like the Faust mask in the ending to the TV series.
The whole thing is written in Nagisa's speech register (ie every sentence ends in no desu and nano desu).
Shugen is a Buddhist term referring to a form of asceticism that involves becoming one with nature/kami/the Tao (the practice tends to be syncretic). See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shugend%C5%8D
Satori refers to spiritual awakening and is often translated as "enlightenment", but it's different from Buddhahood. It's more about understanding one's own nature, which is just a step towards complete enlightenment.
Moksha means emancipation from earthly desires. It's nirvana but not quite, since a person undergoing moksha hasn't died yet.
>Siegfried apologizes for fucking up and reafirms his love for Odette, who accepts and returns the love
>Odette is still dying
>Que Swan Lake Lovers suicide
>Siegfried and Odette, united in their love, ascend into Heaven as the swan maidens below watch
>Siegfried and Odette sacrifce ends the curse placed on the other swan maidens
>Siegfried and Odette are reunited in Heaven for all eternity
Pretty much the happiest ending I can imagine for MadoHomu.
Wraith Arc 4 just came out in the most recent issue of Kirara. 5 wont be out till February based on Kirara's rease schedule. This guy here did a translation of 2-4.
I think it's important to remember that while Madoka uses heavy symbolism and lots of references, it isn't actually a retelling of anything. Remember when everyone thought it was going to work just like Faust because of all the references to it?
Oh I agree. I take the suicide thing from it more than anything and the apparent swan motif in the concept film continues to draw me back to the lovers suicide and reunification. To me the major theme is still balance and duality.
I was reading an old interview with Urobuchi. While Shinbo used the words confront each other as enemies, Urobuchi used the phrase equal opposites. Duality and balance have always been a big part of the franchise. We have always seen hope and despair, cynicism and idealism, and now selflessness and selfishness in conclict. With Madoka and Homura confronting each other as equal opponents, we have a chance to see them realize that they can spend eternity fighting (as they philosophically have throughout the series) or they can unite and form something greater than they could by themselves. We have always seen the opposing forces in the series zero out, but now we have the chance for opposing forces to work in synergy. Madoka warned Homura to not go off by herself in Rebellion, yet Madoka effectively went off by herself when she decided to take the burden of the universe on herself.
I expect it to be a very rocky road and more than a few twists to that point, but there would really be no other reason to pit Homura and Madoka against each other thematically.
>Faust becomes demon and hangs out with Mestophiles
>Homura becomes demon and guards over Kyubey
>Gretchen will only consider heaven paradise if Faust can stay at her side
>Madoka sounded pretty lonely as the Law of Cycles
I really would be surprised if we dont get more Faust.
Trips confirms tragedy.
>Mephistopheles tricks Faust into killing Gretchen's mother so he can sleep with her
>Gretchen loses her mind and drowns her and Faust's baby
>Faust tries to break Gretchen out of prison, but she refuses to go with him
>When Faust dies the devil tries to collect what is owed to him but is seduced by sexy boy angels instead
>Homura kills Junko cause Kyubey tells her itll get her laid
>Madoka goes crazy and drowns Nagisa
>Madoka refuses to leave Homuverse and kills herself in madness
>Tatsuya's young boy ass distract Kyubey while Madoka takes Homura's soul to yuri valhalla
Does anybody remember if there were ever scans of this Mami/Candeloro book? I remember it vaguely from forever ago but I can't remember if it was scans or just the samples I saw back then.
If not, I might pick it up to scan.
>Madokami's white dress
>Homura's black dress
I'm def expecting some hardcore undertones, but I'm really hoping subtlety goes completely out the window.
Last day of Madogatari is February 14. Anyone think they'll drop a date?
So Madoka had nipples after all!
One time I planned out a fanfic where Homura spends her time loop training Sayaka to protect Madoka and keep her from contracting.
It would have been a bittersweet character analysis where the two come to terms over their differences and make the necessary sacrifices to protect their precious friend.
it also wouldn't end well
Homura has to teach Madoka what to do every timeline she gets to sleep with her. True love right there.
Another day, another Madoka collab:
Anyone got some MadoHomu dojinshi or fan fiction recommendations? Preferably with Homu being submissive or passive? Dont care if theyre in moon runes.
It definitely can be, negative nancy. It depends on how the tentacles look and are used. If they're used and look more like tongues and the monster's female then there's nothing wrong.
2/3 of this one is amazing BDSM yuri. I honestly stop reading once it gets to the tentacle part. It's revealed Homu's just masturbating anyways, so it's still borderline yuri in my book. The tentacles dont ejaculate, so they're not peni in my book.
Lord have mercy. How long before we see a scan of this?
Did anyone pick up a copy of this? Seems like very indepth research into the tv production timeline.
Kind of random, but apparently in Japan, raw horse meat is called "sakura".
Cut out the last 10 or so pages of MM and it's fine. It turns into overly phallic tentacle though. A10's Time to Fall is the only straight yuri (no pun intended) one where Homu gets dommed by Madoka that I can think of that isn't Ayanero. It's smell fetish though. Ouroboros Duo is probably the best done though.
Happy New Year! I wish I could have made an annoucement before the end of the year, but I missed that deadline. I should be able to tell you something by the second week of February.
Any notable events in February where they could potentially drop that announcement?
Really hope whatever it is it comes out this year. I'm hoping for a TV series instead of a movie, because I really want all the characters and character relationships to get full development. A movie would have to cut corners on that.
Okay, makes sense.
More than anything I hope the primary social conflict is Homura "dating" Madoka and subtly keeping her away from her other friends. I want to think the whole ballet thing was Homura's decision where she convinced a shy Madoka to take up lessons.
And Sayaka is constantly apprehensive as the protective best friend, wondering if Homura is the best fit for Madoka while slowly remembering what Homura did to them.
Can't wait for this scene to be canon, and Hitomi and Sayaka form a "No Homu Club" for all the wrong reasons.
I can't see anything other than movie right now. It's been 5 years since it was on TV, the TV series was repackaged as two movies, and there are wayyy too many people who still havent seen Rebellion for it to succeed as a tv series.
Yeah, we have to be real. In the end, we'll most likely get MadoHomu and maybe even a kiss if we're really lucky, but this is still at its base a dark fantasy-drama with horror elements.
Sayaka cunt blocking Homura and not accepting Madoka wants her just as bad, if not more, is my favorite running gag.
Tougall Kai/ Kairakuen Umeka's Akumade HomuHomu for anyone intersted.
The updated concept movie showed two scenes with Sayaka and Homura implying some sort of team-up, right?
My hope is the first half of the sequel is the two of them forming a shaky alliance, where Sayaka begrudgingly considers letting Homura stay with Madoka.
Then some sort of major fuck-up happens as a result of Homura's new world (like Mami or Hitomi dying), causing Sayaka to take action against her.
I'm in love with the idea of Sayaka playing the protective best friend/parent as a contrast to Homura. Any dynamic between the two of them is solid gold at this point, so I hope it gets explored.
>Tougall Kai/ Kairakuen Umeka's Akumade HomuHomu
Give this man a prize!
At this point I'd like to know what forces are actually at play.
We still have:
Law of Cycles (Nagisa, Sayaka, and other girls)
Devil Homura and familiars
Mami & Kyoko (no reason for their goals to align with LoC, especially Kyoko)
-The chance that Madoka may actually be happy with her new life and might not want to go back
-The chance Homura is usurped by someone/thing
-The chance the LoC is permenantly corrurpted
Narrative wise, there would be zero reason for a HomuSaya alliance unless a certain pink haired girl was in danger and Devil Homura couldnt do anything about it by herself.
Agreed, but that's way more a result of the plot density of the series and movie, not a recurring element of Urobuchi's writing. Phantom and Zero had plenty of good filler scenes and characters bouncing off each other.
>Narrative wise, there would be zero reason for a HomuSaya alliance unless a certain pink haired girl was in danger and Devil Homura couldnt do anything about it by herself.
One of the things you can absolutely expect to see in the sequel is the realization that Homura is not in as control as you (or she) may think she is.
Didn't stop the fans from declaring "series is over, Homura won."
Homura has won, she just needs to get her shit slapped in by Madoka so she stops being such a shit. Then they rule the universe together as wife and wife.
I hope we get a bit where Madoka in MG form tries to get in the middle to stop Sayaka and Homura from fighting each other.
It would be a nice callback to the Sayaka/Kyouko fight where Kyubey said "only another Magical Girl can stop this fight", and would also showcase the claim about how Madoka would be more active in the sequel.
>"series is over, Homura won."
Homura might have won, but that doesn't mean the movies weren't made to make more sequels. I'm just hoping they handle it well. Those who say it's over are probably just afraid a sequel would ruin it.
It's Madoka who needs a spanking, she's a totally incompetent goddess. She takes Homura for granted and she's too careless about the Kyuubes. Also according to the concept movie, she doesn't even know happiness.
>Then they rule the universe together
Seems too good to happen. They'll probably have someone else take over instead. Kyubey maybe? Incubators strike back? The ending is a dystopian nightmare. Fans demand a sequel. The ride never ends.
Someone already uploaded MadoHomu Christmas before I got it. Enjoy it!

(C89) [Nedaore (Ayane)] Honno Isseiki dake Watashi no Gin no Niwa (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
>It's Madoka who needs a spanking, she's a totally incompetent goddess.
Homura's canon mas sub. I agree with the statement on Madoka's part in the relationship.
I need to be convinced beyond a subtextual level that Madoka loves Homura. I know she does, but I need for her to prove it to me as a viewer. She cant just say "You're my waifu now Homu." I was willing to believe Homura loved Madoka as early as episode 8 during her breakdown. I have yet to see anything concrete from Madoka beyond symbolism, undertones, and official art.
On a general note for a Sayaka-Homura conflict centric seuqel:
I know people want a build up to a HomuSaya death match, but to me its pointless. Homura and Sayaka have always hated each other. Its a complete rehash of the series. Sayaka being incapable of understanding that Homura might not be evil and Homura being incapable of treating Sayaka as anything more than a child like nuisance is literally episode 1-8, a smidgen of episode 10, and the end of Rebellion. It's been done to death and I hope they don't waste a lot of time on it.
Kinda feel let down. Overwhelmingly story and maybe 6 pages of breast licking. Was expecting more from Ayane. I nearly lost it at this part though. Madoka knows what she likes.
Fair enough. It was def nice to see some loving MadoHomu.
>Homura canon sub
Homura is canon overwhelmingly dom, anyone with an ounce of sub would never have survived the endless time loop hell, let alone repeatedly overcoming despair and getting stronger. It's like her thing to never submit. In a way the movie revealed the potential that many already saw in her.
>I agree with the statement on Madoka's part in the relationship.
I guess you could put it that way too, but I meant more in general. She let Kyuubes do anything, she left Homura to the worst possible fate. Homura, Madoka's best friend, the champion of the goddess, became the devil on Madoka's watch! Is that the world Madoka wanted? Madoka is incompetent and almost useless as a goddess, at least in the movie canon.
In the anime canon, she's still alright. Even if she may cause Homura untold despair (corrupted wings in the anime epilogue?), her wish still eliminated witches and she's probably watching over Homura. Homura herself says she would never forget what Madoka did, that she would always keep fighting to protect Madoka's new world. I can't argue much with that, only cheer her on.
>I have yet to see anything concrete from Madoka beyond symbolism, undertones, and official art.
In her defense, she probably just can't offer much. Maybe she doesn't or can't know the same feelings, and she doesn't want to be dishonest. Even if she feels extremely indebted towards Homura and would do anything for her, she probably can't abandon being a goddess. At the same time, she's always seemed to depend on Homura to keep fighting.
>HomuSaya death match is pointless
Mostly agree, pitting the weakest puella against a god-like being is pointless. I guess fans just like to see them fight. Ironically, under Homura's rule, Sayaka gets her wish and doesn't have to despair.
Actually, a lot of people who have a whole lot of power in real life (CEOs, etc) tend to be subs in bed. Giving up their power for a little while can be really appealing. Sort of a chance to shed all their stress and worries for a while.
Chinese scans out, this looks fun. Can't wait for English scans sometimes 2020.
>Homura is canon overwhelmingly dom, anyone with an ounce of sub would never have survived the endless time loop hell
It seemed like she found that strength only after having everything repeatedly drop on her. She's still completely dependent on Madoka to keep going.
>I guess you could put it that way too, but I meant more in general. She let Kyuubes do anything, she left Homura to the worst possible fate.
I think Rebellion just made clear Kyubey is a complete asshole and an enemy to humanity/magical girls no matter what he claims to be doing for the universe.
On the Homura note, we never saw the extent of that suffering until Rebellion, so I'm willing to write it off. Rebellion showed she completely lost her purpose for living, but there was no reason to believe she didn't just despair because she was having really shitty day before we learned that.
There's almost no blow back on that wish series wish except the obvious loss of Madoka.
>Maybe she doesn't or can't know the same feelings
My greatest plausible fear for the next project. Dont trigger me this early anon. But I agree with the statement. You can"t ask Madoka to gie up her wish to be a god because, obvious side problems aside, it wouldn't be any different than telling Homura to just give up on Madoka.
Madoka's favorite homu from one of those mobage collab games (Fullbokko Heroes X).
>And besides, think about it! Homura-chan's super cute, right?
>So on the other hand, it's hard not to feel the urge...
>To bully her a bit...
>Or be the one to corrupt her, right?
A-all according to keikaku, right?
So let's say by the off chance that we get a total perfect happy ending for MadoHomu. They get to rule over the universe as goddesses and they get to hang out together when not doing goddess things in the same way Sayaka and Octavia or Nagisa and Charlotte do in the Law of Cycles. They even get into arguments over eggs and shit. They not only love each other, they even kissu to make it official while wearing the white dress and funeral dress.
Let's say we get that ending.
What about everyone else? Does Sayaka end up having to leave Kyoko again? Do they never get to have their thing? I know MadoHomu has way more time and suffering invested in it than the others, but KyoSaya and to a lesser extent MamiNagi are still a thing.
In that impossible scenario, where Ume in her grief over Yoshinoya murdered Gen and took over as head writer for PMMM? Sure, everyone gets their happy ends, and Ume spent rest of her time in jail drawing warm and spicy PMMM doujin.
But would that really be Madoka?
>But would that really be Madoka?
Excluding the eggs and kiss, yes? The show is dark, but really not that dark. I think by far the most awful thing to ever happen on screen was Kyoko's dad killing her family. Everyone else had their worst ends altered at the end of the series and Homura's new world full on negated the bad ends despite setting her up as the antagonist.
>Focusing on the part written so that we didnt have to address MadoHomu
Just ignore the first part if it makes it easier. What happens to the others? Does anyone have hopes for them? Does anyone have thoughts on them? Does anyone care?
And they've been through too much to live normal lives. Unless their memories were wiped. Which would be stupid.
>Godoka can collect souls, but cannot create any kind of heaven.
>Hoimura's apotheosis has given her the ability to create and alter worlds.
>Only together can they create an actual Yuri Valhalla for magical girls.
All according to keikaku.
The story line of Kazumi Magica was difficult to follow at times, but overall it's pretty good and worth a read. The magical girls from Kazumi are cool but they aren't nearly as unique as the magical girls from Madoka Magica are and there's not as much to them. They have cool outfits, though.
As for adding anything, it takes place in a city I think north of Mitakihara (forgot the name of the city), and you'll see brief cameos of Kyoko and Mami. You'll see Kyubey later on.
Not needed untilwe get new info about the next madoka project or topic to discuss
Seriously, i'm surprised we survived 2 years wtihout barely new content
BTW, the writer of the pair of doujins about the april fool's character Kanna is going to write a new one, this time about Madoka's mom being a magical girl
The activity here died down completely after Madogatari Osaka. I wouldnt expect anything conversation wise until February.
While Im not complaining that we may finally get MadoHomu and closure from Rebellion, it took way too long just to confirm this sequel that we still wont be seeing for a long time.
I totally love Maitake's Sayaka. She's portrayed as trying to protect Madoka from Homura (but really, we all know that it's Homura who needs to be protected from Maitake's Madoka). In the end, they are all pretty chummy; gives me warm, fuzzy feelings.
And yet every time she is alone with Madoka she completely melts.
She is only hardened in that she does not care about anyone or anything that isn't Madoka.
By the way, we are on page ten.
>S2/M4 plot anything but Madoka saving Homura from her self-created hell
She lasted maybe a week or two after Madoka disappeared based on Wraith Arc. Hell, her universe is unstable because she is filled with nothing but self-doubt and hatred of herself. There is nothing dominant about her. She's determined AND persistent, yes. But you're confusing her kuudere personality and her PTSD for dominance.
I dont think anyone made that claim though she was a submissive jellyblob though. They said she was submissive and masochistic. She IS utimately submissive to Madoka's will and she's admitted to enjoying her suffereing for her. Im not saying she submits to everyone, especially fate, but she is a complete sub mas when it comes to Madochi.
It doesnt help that Madoka is dominant af in their during Rebellion. Considering that was Homu's dream world, it's safe to assume she's wants Madoka to be the dominant one.
>Homura being awkward af
>Sayaka hating Homura and wanting to keep Madoka away from her
>Madoka going out of her way to seek out Homura
Completely in character, Anon. Honestly I wonder if they're going to finish out HomuSaya (NOT SHIPPING WISE)'because those two hate each other. And Homura's future waifu considers Sayaka her bff.
>because those two hate each other.
I'm hoping it's like a Shirou/Kotomine scenario where they in fact respect/admire each other very much.
The fact that Madoka is the person they both want to protect the most is the thread that ties them together, whether they like it or not.
Really hope that's a theme the sequel focuses on.
They have to build it, because honestly I cant see Homura having respect for Sayaka. She respects Mami and Kyoko is the closest thing to a friend she has that isn't Madoka. But from Homura's point of view, Sayaka is a hot headed girl who despaired over dick and made that tragedy in TL 3 happen. Now I think they can find an understanding because Sayaka matured immensely between the series and Rebellion. The part of Sayaka that Homura hates is largely gone.
Sayaka on the other hand, needs to understand how committed Homu is to Madoka and that like you mentioned, they both want the best for Madoka.
