This has been not a very good week on pixiv.
Not so much by volume, as the quality has been low.
But the crunch must be on now to finish stuff before Comiket.
I wonder what the Nations Little Sister would want for her birthday...hmmm...
Kind of not sure who is getting the present here.
>Then you just killed my argument
Not really, still pretty sure the main demographic is dudes.
Just pointing out that girls can be into that stuff too, though it may or may not be a gay thing. One of those girls would only be into ones that were cute and not sexual, while the other would most definitely prefer a sexual one. Well, there is at least one exception for the first girl but I don't think there are any Revy dakimuras.
Personally I would never want one because it just seems like an embarrassing thing to own, but the girls I know seem to be less likely to care about that sort of thing, and would be judged less for owning cute things anyway.
I would also not want one because it would be really weird to have a very sexual pillowcase of a lesbian, which as a fan of mahou shoujo, my favorite characters tend to be. I assume japan has less of a problem with that.
I did say "probably just guys who gonna do it tho" so if there would be any girls who buys it it would ruin the argument. But I am also one of those who wouldn't like to have one since aas you said that it seems like an embarrassing thing to own. I also wouldn't like to have a lesbian as a hugging pillow, even if that would be my favorite character since it would feel like I would be getting in the way.
This is not exactly /u/ related but does anybody have a collection of png vector profiles of Yuuna, Tougou, Fuu, Itsuki and Karin like pic related? I need some in order to edit
the show's tvtropes pageand I don't want to create a thread on /a/ just for that purpose.
This might be interesting
New NoWaYu Manga chapter.
Chikage this time.
Which means it will finally be Yuuna's turn next month!
Wow, the body on that Miko.
Could someone post the cutout Yuushas from the Manga that one anon does here too? I stopped following the a threads but I would still love to save them. I bet he did new ones for that chapter too?
By high school, Tougou will become Yuuna's mind broken love slave.
probably not but the way they eyes are messed up on Tougou in this one it looks like it
Since sound webm is not allowed, have this link: https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/681700001286762496/pu/vid/640x360/3o3uUAHBoDrJpTUj.webm
Can't wait, S2 gonna be awesome!
Next years culture festival skit.
The only thing wrong with this is that the old world ended on 30 June in their universe. So Episode 7 never was released.
We need more stories about this period in their lives. The month or so when roles were reversed.
I wonder why is Tougou using a Sith cloak and a blue lightsaber when Yuna is using Jedi robes, a red lightsaber and a quite evil expression.
Either way, I like to think not all of the world is fire. Other than Japan, I like to think there are other bubbles, maintained by other heroes and other branches of the god-tree and its priests.
I believe NoWaYu confirmed that there was at least one other one, but it probably isn't around anymore. That was 300 years ago.
When/if sequel, they will probably either restore other bubbles/the rest of japan or just make entire new areas sustained by the Shinjuu.
Though realistically repopulating the entire world with the population they currently have would probably take like a thousand years, even if there were no demons and they didn't have to fight for every inch of ground.
I suppose you could assume there are other bubbles inside the tree due to how large it is when you see it in the hellscape, but I assume the branches extend into space instead due to the heroes/vertex being able to go there.
There's about enough room for other bubbles to exist if you were writing fanfiction probably, but not enough room to support them showing up in the actual show, if that makes sense. Unless they do more prequels, of course.
New Years Udon with the Yuusha-bu.
look what Sonoko has with her at her place
Why does Fuu have her tongue out like she is going to eat her sister?
I do think we all know what she can do with that tongue.
>Just finished WaSuYu
Jesus Christ, I knew this was a bad idea. A lot of cute things going on, some Washi goes well with both Gin and Nogi and I just love stories about strict girls going loose. But it broke me, its so unfair.
So there is a anniversary fan meeting soon:
I'll never give up hope for S2!
They were a great trio.
Btw, here is the translation for Remarquer http://pastebin.com/gawdZb0M
A girl falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, she is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone address. Never minding the laws of the Taisha, she immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has been summoned to her, along with a friend as well.
But, on that same day, when she recounts their previous adventures to the girl, she only looks at her with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, she finds out that the girl she called is not the same girl she fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this god-tree world at all. She is the girl's post amnesia counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC of the show, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal and she shares the Taisha’s darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to destroy the tree. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as the girl starts to remember her instead and question the NATURE of YUUSHA.
Love Yunna's smug or happy face. I'm not sure which one of this it is. But still, I love it!
Hes smile is usually reassuring and nurturing but on this case it feels like Bunbun's generic smug girl looks took over her.
Won't stop me from buying this thing though, I don't care if a magazine talking about how shitty my country's economy is was the first thing that showed up when I opened Amazon JP
Tougou is so cute when she's being genocidal
All I want is Tougou's and Yuuna's happiness.
Who is the best partner with Yuuna?
With the announcement that Takahiro is working "on an anime" along with the anniversary event on day 15 and mankai matsuri soon its easy to guess we will be getting a S2 announcement soon right? Right?
I know the break between YuYuYu and this possible announcement is too big, that KinMosa and any other Ponycan S2 was already announced by now but surely we can't go on like this right?
This might be unfair for those who bought the tickets but apparently the amount of fans coming to the event were too much that in the end, they decided to let all of them go in. All botamochi and udon were sold-out.
Some other interesting information.
>Shikoku was chosen because it can easily be surrounded by a wall and because when it comes to udon then it's to be Kagawa prefecture
>The heroes' families all have both parents
>In episode 10, a part of Tougou's meeting with Yuuna and her monologue were cut
>Sange's effects are not random, there're specific reasons as to why they lost which body functions but those are "censored by Taisha"
>You can figure out which functions they lost after the last Sange if you pay attention to the scene where the fairies turned into petals
>Originally, Sonoko's was in much worser state
>There's a meaning behind Yuuna's dizziness and it will be shown in the show if there's a chance.
>Sonoko's bandages have meanings and will be talked about later somewhere
>Tougou's "Yes" to Yuuna in the last episode is her accepting Yuuna's proposal
>They poured all of their efforts into animating Tougou's crying scene and her and Yuuna's handholding
>Gin's birthday is decided and is related to fairy stuffs, it might be revealed one of these days
>The fairies are given to each heroes based on their aptitude. Gin's fairy is Nurikabe
>Full version of the club song "The baton of courage" was shown. There're scenes with Tougou eating gelato, Yuuna sleeping in class, eating botamochi, etc.
>Itsuki was originally proposed as an armpit character
>Karin's original image: ponytail, few friends, not really good at sport or study, becomes a hero because she wants her parents to praise her, cares about her health
>Fuu and Karin's talk about leaving everything to their kouhai was made because at the time they "wanted to let them graduate as heroes"
>When the girls came back after the cultural festival, Taisha was awaiting them inside their house.
>>Tougou's "Yes" to Yuuna in the last episode is her accepting Yuuna's proposal
You mean Yuuna's "yes"?
Huh, I just rewatched it, and that sounds nothing like someone accepting a proposal.
They had already changed topic too.
>Promising someone that you would be together with them forever
>Not a proposal
Tougou just straight up ignore (or just also included it in her answer) Yuuna's line about stopping Leo.
>T: The sun?
>T: I started something awful.
>Y: It's not your fault.
>Y: We're gonna stop it!
>T: I agree to be with you forever [Yes].
Is that seriously how you believe that scene is supposed to be read?
I think you've got it mixed up.
Before that, when they are actually talking all proposal-like, at the end it's Tougou who asks Yuuna to never leave her, and Yuuna answers "yes" twice. That's the acceptance.
I don't know anymore, those on twitter just wrote
>Yuuna "We're going to stop that guy!" Tougou-san "Yes!" <- was actually a proposal.
>Episode 12's "..." Yes
>Answered to a proposal
12話の「あいつを止める!」「はい!」ってあれ友奈なりのプロポーズだったの>Episode 12's "We're going to stop that guy!" "Yes!" was a Yuuna-style proposal.
Well, we're kinda arguing semantics, they literally just pledged to each other after all.
It certainly is in-character for Yuuna to propose in a "let's kick his ass and be together forever" way.
>>The heroes' families all have both parents
What do they mean by this? We know Itsuki and Fuu don't have parents, right?
>>Gin's birthday is decided and is related to fairy stuffs, it might be revealed one of these days
The fairies are minor gods, yuusha can become gods, so clearly Gin is now a god.
>>Sange's effects are not random, there're specific reasons as to why they lost which body functions but those are "censored by Taisha"
I always suspected this, but figured it had room for doing whatever the plot needed, since Karin was worse off than Sonoko after 4 mankai instead of 20. A lot of the losses seem to be whatever was precious to them, such as Itsuki's voice, Mimori's memories, and Yuuna's taste, but I could never find a connection for Fuu's eye (except for how awesome an eyepatched greatsword magical girl is) or Tougou's ear.
>>There's a meaning behind Yuuna's dizziness and it will be shown in the show if there's a chance.
>>When the girls came back after the cultural festival, Taisha was awaiting them inside their house.
2nd season fucking when.
>What do they mean by this? We know Itsuki and Fuu don't have parents, right?
It means none of the heroes comes from a single-parent family or an orphanage. Fuu and Itsuki have parents, it's just that they died.
Courtesy of JJ:
Not that anon but, i think he refers to pic related
They were doing live commentary for the last three episodes at the meeting. And after Tougou's "Yes" in the last episode, these 2 said
Takahiro: This here is a proposal
Kishi director: When someone is confessed to, they answer with a "yes"
Well, if you take the whole scene into account, and not just that last segment, you can see how they were gunning for a subtle proposal.
Let's just take it as confirmation that their pledge to be together forever wasn't just meant as friendship, though obviously this isn't the kind of anime that will ever portray their relationship openly; we'd be lucky to get a kiss at the end of the series, if anything.
Is "proposal" only meaning on English to ask someone on marriage? In
Spanish it just means to suggest something to you. We actually use "propuesta matrimonial" when we are talking about marriage and not any other use.
Perhaps they simply meant that the scene was arranged to look like a marriage proposal (>>1959863 they're both on their knees holding each other, dressed in long robes), and that's why Tougou's answer is "Yes [Hai]", to keep with the visual theme.
We know very well that they don't suddenly behave like girlfriends later, so it was probably a symbolic thing, which I guess is the most they are allowed to do yuri-wise.
I'm now convinced the Yuunas are different people
Well they are different bodies.
We saw that Yuuki Yuuna's body never left the future.
Only the mind and or soul ever moved.
Not to mention that Yuuki is 13 while Takashima is 14. And because Takashima has been around since 2015, if she was Yuuki then she'd be 16 and not 14 by 2018.
>Only the mind and or soul ever moved.
That doesn't explain why they look so much alike and have the same name, though. And if that was the case then whatever happened to Takashima's original soul?
>Not to mention that Yuuki is 13 while Takashima is 14. And because Takashima has been around since 2015, if she was Yuuki then she'd be 16 and not 14 by 2018.
If only her soul travelled back in time, this wouldn't be a problem.
>That doesn't explain why they look so much alike and have the same name, though.
>And if that was the case then whatever happened to Takashima's original soul?
Was temporally overwritten.
Might not be that difficult if Takashima and Yuuki were the same soul to begin with. Yuuki Yuuna may always have been a new incarnation of Takashima Yuuna, and during her vegetative period Shinjuu is letting her relive the events of the initial invasion so she can better lead the new Yuusha that are coming.
The Taisha have done such a good job of censoring things and rewriting history that this might have been the only way left for Shinjuu to show someone what really happened and pass the information on the future generations.
IMHO Yuuna was picked not only for being Takashima Yuuna's next incarnation, but for being a arahitogami, a person born to become a god, and this traveling under Shinjuu's guidance is part of her apotheosis and her coming to understand she is a god.
I am betting while she went back under Shinjuu's control she will, just like she said at the end of the last episode, return to the future under her own power.
>being a arahitogami
Why is this shit theory still alive? What Yuuna did changed Shinju's assessment of humanity because she is a human. The whole plot wouldn't make sense if she wasn't.
Being a arahitogami does not automatically make you not a human. You have to actually live out your life in a meaningful way, and you have to have opportunity to be great, to live in a time when massive changes were happening, to show your ability. Otherwise they just live out a normal human life as a good person and go make another trip through samsara.
Shinjuu could just as easily be impressed that humanity could still generate arahitogami, and also by how the other girls gathered around and supported Yuuna as proof that humans could still believe in each other.
An arahitogami's human life is kind of like a extended childhood, they wont reach full divinity without the love and support of people flocking to them.
The point if what Yuuna is capable. If Yuuna is an arahitogami, what she's capable of doesn't reflect what humanity is capable of, those the plot doesn't make sense.
Mind you, Takahiro's a hack, so anything is possible. But this would be pretty extreme bad writing even for him, so for now I choose to believe he know what he's doing.
>It's so~ cold!
>It's really cold, isn't it?
>Oh, how I wish I'd brought a scarf.
>We forgot about that, didn't we?
>If we had at least one scarf I could SHARE IT with Tougou-san.
>Hang in there, Yuuna-chan. I'm making one right now.
>Yuuna-chan, wake up!
>It's morning already! Time to get up!
>Alright, let's get you changed.
>Now I'll just fix your hair and... done! Very cute!
>Time for school!
>Hmm~ I can't keep my balance straight for some reason...
Found this, the cover says its a Yuuna x Tougou fanbook, but its all text.
Can any one who reads kanji tell if its interesting?
This is in the same file:http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=54775088. So I think its supposed to be the little girl.
The only thing that doesn't look like Itsuki is the tsuremei. Wonder what the artist was thinking? Is Fuu considered to have sharp eyes? They look pretty normal to me.
>The first Only event only had 19 people participated
>The second Only already has 53 people confirmed to participate and 46 people would like to join
What a great improvement. Not to mention that the second one is held in Kanonji, the city where Yuyuyu is set in.
A more detailed report about the meeting for those interested. http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/jing_mds/49122007.html
Apparently, Uezu, who is in charge of series composition, is busy until 2019. So I guess unless he sacrifices his weekend like he said he might then S2 won't happen until then.
Perhaps they can't, and I personally wouldn't want it. A new writer would need to "get" the characters, and that could end up causing lots of problems with the story. Now, if they want to make a spin-off, sure get another writer for it,
They can replace him if they want to. Besides, it's not like Uezu has a pretty distinctive style (like say, Urobuchi), and it's not like he was actually writing the episodes himself; he was doing series composition.
All in all, he would be easy to replace.
You have to take team work and such into consideration. Uezu and Kishi has tagged along with Takahiro since the whole project was just a concept. Getting a new guy in might fuck up the whole production. As useful as Karin might be, she can never replace Gin.
I don't think that's an issue. There's still the director and Takahiro himself to keep things on track. If they had the money, I think they'd go for it even without Uezu.
>As useful as Karin might be, she can never replace Gin.
Pointless analogy. Writers and people in charge of series composition get replaced all the time in sequels and movie adaptations.
Let's take one of the most consistent series in anime: Fafner. It has retcons here and there, but they all make sense within the context of the series, why? Because the same person have been in charge of series composition since the first season. Uezu might lack a "gimmick" to pass up as style (Urobochi with his suffering and pseudo-intelectual bullshit, Okada and her melodrama), but that doesn't make his work at the helm less important.
It's not that his work is less important. It's just that writers get replaced if they have to. That's just how it is. Even Urobuchi would get replaced if Aniplex wanted to do more Madoka and he wasn't available.
If Takahiro could get the money for the sequel, I'm pretty sure Uezu not being available wouldn't be a problem.
Perhaps my point wasn't clear. I'm not saying they can't change the main writer. All I'm saying is that the work's quality would suffer for it, and that's something I wouldn't like.
As long as we have Takahiro and Kishi we are fine
Whaaaat, there isn't going to be a second one this year? Fuck, there goes my hopes
>checking gmag site
when is it officially out?
I can't read that late..
30th, so 2 days to go.
it wasn't really specified further.
She was the one with the heaviest injuries and was rushed to the hospital ahead of the others.
Think they all ended up at the hospital after that battle and Hinata is just feeding her wife in bed.
Crack theory time!
What if Yuuna is the "Rei" of this series, they keep cloning her every time she dies because [censored by taisha].
>this has been going on for 300 years
>Yuki Yuuna is just the latest in a very long line of cloned Yuunas
But seriously now, what would even be a plausible reason for having the "same" character 300 years apart, I hope it's not just some silly "lol her ancestor looked the same", that would be such a shitty cop out.
>The heroes' families all have both parents
Reinarnation is ruled out by their connection being "beyond our expectations", identical ancestors is ruled out by Wakaba and Sonoko.
They're going to be the same person. Chikage trying to keep her secret from Tougou in the 4koma makes it practically inevitable.
If you go back to the art book, this outfit and hair is almost identical to a early draft Yuuki Yuuna that was passed over.
So the bigger "why" is why did they think the pink hair was better to put it in the TV series?
In the past the /a/ threads had way too much lewdposting for my taste, I can't really deal with people sexuallizing the Yuushas, so I only check here for translations of the Manga and LN. But thank you for telling me that someone is working on it.
Are they going to acknowledge that Karin has a crush on Itsuki finally?
Is Sonoko giving away yet ANOTHER potential girlfriend to another girl??
She resigned herself to not being able to replace Tougou in Yuuna's affections. She still loves Yuuna but she knows it wont be reciprocated.
Itsuki though is something new, and a potential new start.
Is there a place with all of the 4-koma transparent crops, like pic related?
Old archive is still kill. Eventually, if someone has all of them saved, can you upload them to somewhere?
The latest 4koma was really cute and it made the shipper in me particularly happy. I hope they make more Karitsuki content in the future instead of having poor Karin pine after Yuna forever.
It makes sense given that she was incapable of living on her own for months and the Inubouzaki's don't have parents in the way of moving in whoever they want. I'm surprised the writers didn't jump at the chance, independent of any shipping bait.
