Rate the last three movies you've seen.
Captain America 2: 6.5/10
Under the Skin: 7/10
Blue Ruin - 8/10
Her - 8/10 (I might have rated this higher because I thought it was excellent but I also felt I wasn't really in the target audience and had trouble relating with the main character)
The Revenant - 9/10
I loved all 3 of these, some of the best movies I've seen in a while.
I went into this movie thinking I'd relate to him more because I'm a total loser and very lonely. The problem is he had previous relationship experience, was actively seeking out a new one and was able to bond with his computer fairly quickly (in movie time at least) while I'm highly avoidant and a lot more nervous around women. It's a movie about a socially awkward man who dates his computer and I had trouble relating to him because he was too confident.
The Martian: 8/10 Essentially just a blockbuster not an oscar movie, but fun.
North to Alaska: 7/10 John Wayne did a romance! And there's prospecting involved!
Monuments Men: 5.5/10 I hate this movie more often with every passing watch.
man you cant even relate to a guy who dated his computer. you need help man. I use to be like you then I found my hero, Teddy Roosevelt.
He is the greatest man to have every lived. Just do what I do, anytime you get anxious or are in an awkward situation close your eyes and take a deep breath while thinking "what would teddy do?"
I promise, as soon as you open your eyes and exhale you fell way more confident and comfortable in yourself.
After all, Teddy was a beta fuckin loser in his youth as well. He had asthma and did taxidermy for fun. He just decided to be somebody. The only person holding you back is you.
>Mississippi Grind: 3/10
>Dancing Arabs: 8/10
>Wedding Crashers (rewatch): Fun/10
Maybe you guys can help me pick which movie I should watch next (pic related).
you post this fucking shit all the time, and you hardly have any movies, get better tastes and stop hogging for attention, you fucking shit, here's part of my backlog, get some TASTE
What do you mean? I posted it yesterday and knocked out the movie that was recommended.
I have a backlog, too, but I only download a handful of movies at a time so that it's easier to get through them.
Curb your autism, anon.
I do have a 4K, but I'd rather watch something I haven't seen yet, regardless of the visual splendor. I think I'll go with Wild Tales. I've heard great things about it.
>The Lobster - 8/10
What about it did you like so much, anon? Personally, I thought the second half (post-hotel) was much weaker than the first, although I appreciated the consistency of the protagonist's cowardice, selfishness, and weakness throughout the movie.
Chiraq 8 / 10
Successfully deals with today's hot issues!!!!
Pawn Sacrifice 7.5 / 10
Very convincing depiction of Bobby Fisher.
Carol 6.5 / 10
Too melodramatic for me. It probably needs a dry aspects.
Bone Tomahawk: 3/10
Some good acting and characters in there but it still didn't grab me. Goes on for too long, ends up being boring - neither scary nor mysterious. Don't really know what they were going for with this. Felt there was almost no soundtrack at all (not always a bad thing of course). One specific gore scene is the highlight of this flick and has impact and that's it. 'The 13th Warrior', while not without fault, did it better.
Yeah, you should see this. No point in praising all its' merits here. It's well worth your time.
So-so script that heavily relies on an atmosphere of dread which the movie succeeds in creating when it needs to - namely with the whole border crossing section. Ultimately forgettable though.
That's what I liked about it so much. Colin Farrel is pretty darn good throughout. Also liked Ben Whishaw quite a lot. The first part was so good to me that I didn't even pay much attention how lackluster was the end. Though I'm sure after a rewatch the score will definitely drop down.
Star Wars Episode VII -- 6/10, basically A New Hope with more "diversity," while being worse than ANH in every aspect
The Revenant -- 8/10, Pretty good. Not much to say about it. Intense is the word most people use, and I agree.
Hateful 8 -- 7.6/10, Enjoyable to watch, could've done without Tarantino's nigger dick fetish, but it didn't really take that much away from the film.
Play Misty for me - 6/10, good moments
Vanishing Point - 8/10, fantastic movie
Return of the Living Dead - 5/10 good zombie flick
Four Lions: 8.5/10
The Good Dinosaur: 10/10, Pixar never did anything this good as a standalone.
Star Wars TFA: 2/10, second worst movie I saw in 2015 and only because I also watched The Croods.
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior: 5/5
>The Naked Gun 2 - 5/10
some funny jokes from time to time but very inferior to the original movie
>Sunshine (2007) - 6/10
Very good first half but the plot becomes a bit dogshit in the second half. Great visuals though.
>The Holy Mountain - 6/10
Jodo is a bit tryhard sometimes, I respect what he wants to do but this time it was a bit 2weird4 me.
Mad Max: Fury Road - 7/10
Malèna - 5/10
Brick - 6/10
Room (2015) 7.5/10
Punch-Drunk Love (2002) - 7
Better Than Something (2012) - 8
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials 5/10
Batman: Bad Blood 5/10
The Revenant: 9/10
Fantastic film, amazingly well acted from the whole cast with beutiful cinematography, a little slow though.
American Pie the Wedding one: 7/10
Thought it was average, first AP movie I've seen. Funny in parts
Force Awakens: 6.5/10
Soft reboot with too many callbacks to the OT, Rey is a shit character so far. Some good bits though an overall disappointment
