Is this flying lemon the worst choice the Alliance could have made?
>can't turn, can't climb, can't run
>"warhead" focus with piss-poor standard targeting computer
>maintenance queen keeping those moving s-foils in working order
>Incom shills will defend this
Outta my fucking way, peasants, last and best Incom fighter coming the fuck through.
- Hyperdrive (checkum)
- Lasers (checkum)
- Torpedos (Checkum)
- Cruise speed [both in atmo/extraplanetary] (checkum)
- REKT tie variants (checkum)
- REKT ground forces (checkum)
- is this post dubs (probably not, but it would be a nice get)
Nice try bro, I'm calling in reinforcements for this dubs thread.
>hyperdrive on an interceptor
>a starfighter not having lasers?
>weighed down by hyperdrive and shields, limiting top speed
>three (3) shitposts
Rebels sure are the fucking worst.
>rebels can't go more than a handful of posts without rolling for dubs
>zero maintenance engine
>equivalent to superior firepower both the X-Wing and A-Wing
>superior top speed and maneuverability to both the X-Wing and A-wing in a combat situation
>smaller profile than both the X-Wing and A-Wing
>a quarter of the cost of either the X-Wing or A-Wing
I still have yet to see a single convincing argument as to why the TIE/IN interceptor is not the best starfighter in the galaxy.
Hello lost hyperspace navigator. What year do you think it is?
Also, I'm fairly certain that anon is referring to modern inertial dampening and thrust control making that fairly irrelevant for out of atmosphere flight.
>Can fly circles around TIE fighters
>Rapid fire mode for blaster cannons
>can fire six missiles at once
>not joining the Rebellion
>not being surrounded by qt aliums all day.
>Shit range of vision for pilot. Like, hilariously shit.
>No life support, range is literally more limited by amount of air pilot has than fuel.
>Seinar Fleet Systems shock couch recall that would cause the pilot's spine to be ripped out of their ass in high g maneuvers when the next gen grav servos failed.
>entering or sustaining hyperspace travel within 10,000km of a planetary body
>any Imperial task group going anywhere without an Immobilizer
>starfighter sized shields deflecting anything more than a glancing hit at anything but full power
>taking power from your engines and guns in combat to maintain shields
Keep drawing at straws, rebel scum. Maybe you'll find something you can use eventually.
better than kludging something together like the Die-wing or z-ceptor
Physics was different a long time ago
Because edgy teenagers and radical anarchists are angry that a decrepit old man tens of thousands of light years from their backwater bilgeworld is "in control" of "their government".
pilot suit lock is like 20 minutes, tasking could take so long you die.
Interceptors with hyperdrives can pop in, ambush, pop out. TIES need the fleet
interceptors def need shields
modern sensor suites don't pick everything up. Thats why everything but the TIE line has windows you can, i dunno, see out of>
don't forget waging a useless war against trade unionists, using retard frogpeople as cannon fodder, genocide of a religious order, cloning one person to build an army, thus putting millions out of work for years to come, monopolizing the shipbuilding industries and strangling out any company that doesn't play ball
HELLO FIRESPRAY-31-CLASS PATROL AND ATTACK CRAFT COMING THROUGH.
OTHERWISE KNOWN AS SLAVE FUCKING 1, FAGGOTS.
It's like you guys don't love the legoship.
Let's talk about how I modded mine out.
>Class 1 hyperdrive
>1000 kmh in atmosphere
>16 goddamn minelayers
>dropping mad seismic charges on unsuspecting jedi
Best fucking ship in the galaxy, by far.
>Rebels gonna Reb
>TIE Interceptors deploy from Golan III/ISD/Quasar Fire
>every squadron's sensors are networked with each other, as well as with their parent crafts
>Rebel craft busy broadcasting their position with inferior comm tech and shields light up like a supernova on the Clone Wars era freighter the next system over
>Rebel pilots forced to constantly juggle power management between engines, shields, and guns
>Constantly sacrificing one or two in favor of the others
>X-Wing 100MGLT speed drops to 65 or lower in most combat situations, A-Wing to 90
>TIE/IN can sustain 100 and fly circles around the rebels all the while constantly recharging laser batteries
>Rebel pilots forced to constantly juggle power management between engines, shields, and guns
>not just going double rear shields and shunting the rest to engines
not like TIEs have the armor to tank shots anyway
like the trade union was innocent, both are just giant political parties trying to control the whole galaxy. Whoever won was gonna be the bad guy, rebels are ALWAYS the good guys. duh.
What, the weequays or the trandoshans? Oh, wait, those were both seperatist? Guess everyone's evil huh
That religious order did try to genocide another religious order, and they're baby snatchers.
Palps may have been immoral using the clones, but his whole empire was cool enough with it to let it happen. When a nation is immoral do you blame the head or the body?
He didn't monopolize shipbuilding, he just contracts so heavily a monopoly happens. Palps and the empire MONOPOLIZE the cloning industry. But the trade union would have too. Just look at droid production, those factories weren't exactly spread between owners
and once more, for strangling any company that doesn't play ball, WHO DOESN'T DO THAT? thats the free market at work, motherfucker!
The Empire aren't good guys, but they're not worse than the other guys at any point.
>thinking the most expensive ship in the galaxy is less expensive than a 31
Just so you know, I had enough money in my budget from my beautiful slave to buy a full fucking set of customer. mandalorian armor, you pleb. But keep telling yourself they your prepackaged, overprice garbage is better than my custom-fit death machine.
>implying a sealed suit and a depressuried cockpit isn't an advantage in space combat
yeah, you sure did a number on him when his cockpit filled with fire after he forgot to check the deathstick lighter, or and failed to suppress the fire, and when his "professional" canopy lock got jammed
he just parked too and you happen to be strolling along
I'm a fan of just leaving no evidence at all. If it's okay that it looks like that person was killed (as long as nobody can tell who by) I'd opt for a very common blaster and a clean escape.
Personal preference though, just remember without my hits that look like hits yours wouldn't look like accidents.
>>stealing superweapon plans
>>building said superweapon
>>gets blown up by rebels
>>building said superweapon TWICE
>>get blown up by rebels TWICE
Deathstar was an unjustified waste of credits
and that makes them the bad guys? A droid army that was doomed to fail in a galactic conquest was a poor investment too, so the trade union are the bad guys too.
Or for that matter, your argument is actually just 'anyone who suffers losses in the military is the bad guy'... Rebels got the Hoth base blown up, so they're the bad guys?
If anything the Empire was just building a superweapon planet and the rebels are the bad guys for blowing it up, twice...
But once more, EVERYONE'S BAD.
Best Outer Rim freighter coming through, piratefags btfo!
>Double turbolaser cannons (2)
>Ion cannons (2)
>Triple blasters (2)
>Concussion missile launcher (4)
All this standard in a 22-meter long ship
Oh, and as for transport
>Room for 10
>160 metric ton capacity
>3 months consumables
Niche role as an attack fighter for cruisers. Y-wing can do everything it can better for assault, including carrying a heavier payload. X wing can outperform it as a fighter.
Death trap design. Underpowered as hell. Speed is a moot point when you've got interceptor-class ties on your ass.
Everything the rebels fly is garbage, but at least the Y wing gets shit done.
Well as much as I'd love to keep arguing with underage rebelfags, it's ship's night and I've got a unit supply transfer to handle in 6 hours.
I know some of my IMPNAV brothers are lurking here, peace out boys.
A wing is fastest in even interceptor class, and it can bang out if it's miraculously caught (it's in-atmos speed is higher than even tie interceptor if it's full powering the engine)
Deathtrap as in, life support, shields, and a lack of b-wing esque fucking limbs sticking off it?
I never said it wasn't faster. I said its speed is shooting itself in the foot, because the interceptor will outmaneuver it at its top speed, while the A wing becomes a fucking rocket with lazers on the front that can't do shit but fly away in a lazy arc lol
TIE interceptor can turn on a dime without sacrificing a bit of velocity
that only applies in space combat, where A wings can bang out and traditional assault fighters will fuck up the TIE/INs anyways.
If they were really better how come they're known as death traps for the pilots where living through a few missions made you the best living interceptor pilot around?
>lol what is the ace pilot program?
Keep believing you're fighting for something real, rebel scum. In reality, we probably just didn't want your lousy piloting in our fleet, and you defected.
Sure, we might not have as many effective pilots as when we lost the 2nd Death Star, but even a single squadron of 3-4 interceptors with a larger tie fleet can turn the tide of any battle.
If I see you flying that unarmored bottlerocket anywhere near one of our Imperial cruisers, I'll shred your shitty craft with my quad repeating lasers before you can lean on that crutch you call a targeting computer.
do you even know anything about any of the TIE series design?
It's clear you've never flown ANY imperial craft before, or you'd know that you pull like 4-5gs at best. If you can't hold your shit together without passing out or snapping your neck on the harness, you shouldn't be flying the thing anyway.
You really think I give a fuck if you think the tie/in is a dangerous craft? I've flown 16 sorties, and have 14 confirmed kills. Every day is a fucking triumph. Everyone literally kisses my ass all day, even though I'm not even an officer.
Our capital ships are really what win wars, though. And your shit doesn't hold a candle to ours.
Fucking Rebels. The Republic never should have armed those cells back during the war.
>TIE going 500 kph
>turns on a dime
If you don't understand how you would die from this I hate to tell you this, bud, but you didn't graduate from the same academy I did.
I'm honestly getting really sick of you fake TIE pilots on /k/, claiming you know what's up and defending what the empire is doing like you speak for all of us.
Fuck off, dude.
We usually gave that up when command started realizing flying in such close formation negates the tie/ins smaller target profile. We tend to only do that during atmospheric strafes, bomber escorts, or sometimes raiding freighters and transports.
During dogfights, we let the dumbfuck tie/on squadrons fly in tight formation as cannon fodder, while we swoop in for the kill.
You'd be surprised how much tactics have evolved for the tie/in. They're not the death traps they were. Considering newer models have concussion warheads, we've got a fighter that can fuck up capital ships in a raid.
>defending what the empire is doing like you speak for all of us.
Oh fuck off, I love the empire, they're certainly better for the galaxy than a fucking bitchy princess. I just hate the fucking dickriders who don't even think the empire could ever make a move they shouldn't.
Mon Calamari cruisers have always been my favorite.
Pretty much the only rebel craft. Which is hilarious, because they're basically gigantic jury-rigged transporters outfitted with mil-spec shields and weapons.
I saw one of these pass through a crossfire of 2 victory-class star destroyers without a single hull-hit. All the while returning fire, from behind even as it fled. It disabled both SD's engines with its ion cannons before making hyperspace and escaping. I would like to see how it could stand up to a couple imperial class SDs though.
I guess there's a reason why they're retiring a lot of Victory II's. They're good for atmospheric blockades, but we already have more than we need for that job.
>he thinks Jedi are made up.
Next you will be saying that the Chancellor was playing for both teams during the clone war.
He's not my emperor, I didn't vote for him
It's in the same arc as this.
>tfw you will never have a qt3.14 alium gf
>tfw she will never tremble under you as you gently stroke her lekku
>tfw you will never trace her markings with your tongue
>tfw you will never grab her montrals for leverage
>tfw you will never raise an adopted Togruta daughter
>tfw you will never teach her the ways of the galaxy and how to defend herself
Why even exist?
Ask and ye shall receive.
This thing is a nightmare. Command makes us fly with full hull plating, even though we both know that we'd be fucked if shields gave out anyway. But if this piece of shit overheats, we're still dead in the water.
And whoever said that we're more multi-role than b-wings. We may drop more fire, but God help us if you're attacking a capital ship head on without an A wing squadron to draw the imperial's off you. A b-wing can literally fly circles around the y wing, even if wishbones are a bit faster overall. You definitely don't want to fly alone in a dogfight, and we've been glad we had b-wings watching our asses.
X wings are almost obsolete, despite being a newer design. It's only a matter of time before they're personal transport crafts on the open market. Nothing they can do that another fighter can't do better, except maybe fighter-fightrr combat without capital ship support. stupid space-superiority dupe credit sink, imo
>>empire shills attempting to discredit rebel starfighters
gib coordinates plz, will save with QTZ.
T. totally not a blacksun slaver
I love those things, xwing hyperdrives going super critical is a spectacular lightshow. I cant even count how many my squadron has blasted out of the black.
