Unfortunately not in its entirety. I've been meaning to watch it for a while, but I keep putting it off since I'm having a hard time finding three and a half hours at the moment. I want to do it in one sitting once I eventually get to it.
From what I've seen, I get the impression that I'm likely to appreciate it a ton.
i found it a lot different to little loves but yes it is very great, many similarities to the new wave films but many differences, prob which i like most about it
Like your taste, OP. I've seen all but Altered States and that Hydro shit.
That opening of Millennium Mambo is iconic. They robbed Hou Hsiao Hsien of an Oscar nomination this time around.
i had never saw the opening before putting the film on and i was so locked in it was a very wild moment, although i agree about hsien i dont partically care for the oscars

This board died in 2013 due to /sp/ /v/ and Facebook moving in due to Baneposting and never left with their crossposting underage and normie memefaggotry and spam, and flavor of the month circlejerk discussion.
For the last 2 years, the moderation is at an all time low of in terms of even controlling the fucking spam here, let alone deleting crossposting faggotry you see from /sp/ or /v/.
For the last 2 years, half the board (5 page) have had threads with less than 12 replies. Half the board is literally unused threads or spam. The last two pages are literally less than 3 replies, over 20 useless threads.
Blame those two boards and more normies and idiots coming over and never leaving or learning to assimilate to board culture, all while increasing the post count over time (posts/minute or posts/hour).
/tv/ is literally /sp/v/2.0
Nothing but the same retarded plebshit day in and day out unless something new happens like someone dying to invigorate new discussion
This place is full of fucking retards. I hate baneposting and the fappening to have brought in all the fucking uneducated spam spewing mobile-posting normie and underage retards who have 0 coherence to their thoughts.
And you spend your time here too, so here's your (you)
I know a lot of people write Salo off because they think it's just trying to be edgy, and that's undeniable to a degree. But to simply write it off like that is to put the film at A Serbian Film levels which is also clearly not true. There is a certain artisanship to the film that can be seen in the way it was directed as well as the shots that are used in a number of scenes.
This is just a recommendation 3x3, it's not my GOAT 3x3, and I feel like most people on this board haven't seen most of these movies that I'm choosing to recommend.
I find more recognizable posters than stills.
1.) The Dark Knight (2008)
2.) Man of Steel (2013)
3.) Evangelion 2.0 - You can not advance (2009)
4.) The End of Evangelion (1997)
5.) John Carpenter's The Thing (1982)
6.) Alien (1979)
7.) Jaws (1975)
8.) Evangelion 3.0 - You can not redo (2012)
9.) Star Trek 6 - The Undiscovered Country (1991)
10.) Godzilla vs Biollante (1989)
11.) Captain America - The Winter Soldier (2014)
How so? What is weird/odd/strange/unnatural about any of those pics?
If I was picking something obscenely incompetent like the new Fantastic 4 or the Shaq Steel movie I could understand your confusion, but none of the films I listed are incompetently made at all.
This is my favorites list not what I think is the absolute best films I have ever seen, Altho I do think Thing82 is the absolute best Horror film I have ever seen and EOE is the best animated.
2.0 is possibly the most fun of the entire franchise, and has a phenomenal ending, EOE is a genuine piece of art, 3.0 is the 2nd most emotionally effective of the series.
