they realized they had made him a good christian boy, and of course the obvious move from there was to make him a closet case because thats how all christian people are
shaking my head, family
>its a "liberal who is so butthurt at pols existence he has to shoehorn a little bitch fit about them into every thread even though it has nothing to do with the topic at hand" post
i'm watching season 8 ep 7 Franks Back in Business, and Mac leaves instantly when he and Dennis mistakenly assume they are supposed to fuck that gay Asian twink looking golf caddy. Like he didnt even consider it for a second. so maybe he isnt totally gay
Do you think gay people will have sex with other men just because they're gay?
There's something called attraction you idiot. Also maybe he's not into asians, or he's into muscle dudes because of his wounded masculinity.
Rewatching the serie, im at season 3 and Mac doesn't seem gay.
He's always trying to fuck girl (like in the abortion episode, when they find a dead guy in the bar or when they fake being in a wheelchair)
He's CLEARLY into muscular dudes, if you've even been paying attention. That twink wouldn't take longer than two minutes to oil up. Mac likes to take his time when he's oiling up beefcakes. Plus the twink's bird quit.
No he didn't.
That's the whole point of the episode where Mac fights against gay marriage. They got the surgery and didn't give Mac a phone call so they could bang like he wanted and then Mac got pissy because a big fat black guy got with them instead.
Do you even watch the show, moron?
Yes but there's never a scene where they all agree (without Dennis being present) that they're all completely in agreement and know full well that Dennis is gay. Meanwhile they do exactly that for Mac, because his openly gay cousin makes them much more comfortable than Mac, who's always being a major closet case.
FX wanted to add a big name to the show to drive up ratings after season one. The guys said no, and FX threatened to cancel them if they didn't comply. So they brought on Devito.
This is what Charlie implied when he said it was before Mac stopped being attracted to women, in reality Mac isn't gay, he is bisexual with incredible low self esteem which is why he liked being humiliated by Dennis's mom.
but Mac isn't gay... video related
The obvious explanation is he's in denial. Personally, I think they never planned for it. It comes from him doing needlessly masculine shit and the tranny episode. The "Mac is gay" gag was born when they connected the two.
That's not true. Mac met DeVito after talking with FX about season 2; FX had already talked to DeVito about the show and sent him a DVD of season 1. Everyone involved got what they wanted.
I just started watching this show, currently on season 2 and it's great.
Is there a point when it goes to shit and I should stop watching? Most shows can't keep their quality throughout 11 seasons.
you should try watching before accusing others of not
he was pissed because she was supposed to call him after the surgery because he wanted to have sex with her post op
so she didnt call him and went with the bull instead
he had sex with her pre-op but eventually stopped because he was getting to much flack
Every board on the webside is /mac/
People trying to argue that that are something else (especially Charlie or Dennis) just confirms how much Ronald McDonald they actually are.
they literally think having even a mildly conservative opinion makes you a nazi.
>mfw have mildly conservative opinions and am a nazi.
It never goes to shit. But the consistency of great episodes does drop off after S5. In S8, 9 & 10 the amount of average episodes outweigh the good ones, but even a mediocre episode of Sunny is still better than any other comedy on tv right now.
look at this fucktard
is this all you have left to say?
damage control didnt work
you tried to reply to a trips post with weak ass dubs
and now you are reduced to
n...no.. you lost in my headcanon, go away
i always found mcpoyles episodes to be lacking desu senpai
only one i found really funny with them is the one where they pretend to take them hostage in the bar
and that was really only because of the sideplot with the vents
>look at this fucktard
Who are you addressing with this imperative? This is an anonymous board, and no one here gives a shit about you or the drama you're trying so hard to stir up.
you seem to be trying awfully hard to spin this as if you havent been replying tit for tat
also if you would bother to back you would see that is it was you that started the namecalling in this little conversation of ours
pretty hard to try and take the highground now
>tfw pretty much every character on the show has had a gay moment except for Dee and Waitress
He was going to bang a tiny asian kid to help build up to the long con, though, and got really hot for a tiny asian girl just because charlie liked her.
How can you no remember that?
Also, large heaving breasts are just a status symbol to him.
There is nothing gay about Nightcrawlers, what has Charlie done gay and besides being a 100% straight gay pimp, what did Frank do?
Also the waitress said in the latest episode that she lives in a women's shelter which is a code word for a place full of lesbians who can't cope with reality.
>Look, I didn't go to Vietnam just to have pansies like you take my freedom away from me.
>You went to Vietnam in *1993* to open up a sweatshop!
>And a lot of good men died in that sweatshop.
>shoehorn a little bitch fit about them into every thread even though it has nothing to do with the topic at hand
Holy shit pot meet kettle. /pol/ drags their shit into every fucking thread on every fucking board every fucking day of the week.
desu most common mention of /pol/ is people using it when they see an opinion which is vaguely right wing. the fact is right wing people exist, and aree not exclusive to /pol/, but there is a consistent tendency of mainly new arrivals to the site to just start shouting about /pol/ whenever they see anyone mention anything concievably right of center.
The difference is that the /pol/ack is expressing their honest (and usually terrible) opinion about a subject, they are trying to contribute. The anti-/pol/ bitch brigade on the other hand doesn't contribute, they just bitch. It doesn't matter what your political leanings are they just get really tiring really fast because it is quite literally the same shit every single time with no variation, they make the /pol/acks look like god damn model posters by comparison because anything looks great compared to "A BLOO BLOO I'M SO TRIGGERED MY BUTT HURTS A BLOO BLOO". You dickheads take a bad thing and make it even worse, congratulations.
We're getting a sequel to Ponderosa Wedding Massacre. Even though everyone hates that episode is gurantee we're getting GOAT side characters of McPoyles, Lawyer, and hopefully Bill.
lol you're the one who got set off by a character in a tv show being described as /pol/
see what i mean? you're so convinced that everyone hates you for being different but it's actually because you're retarded
im starting to worry that this upcoming season will be weak. I havent seen any episodes yet but it seems like we have a few rehashes on the way like another chardee macdennis and apparently ponderosa wedding. Both of those episodes were sort of forced to begin with too. I hope they arent running out of ideas
I really hope that they find a way to get Dee and the Waitress to bang. It would be hilarious if everyone in the gang except Charlie got to fuck her (and Mac, I guess, but she was totally going to do some mouth stuff)
It never goes to shit, but there was a dramatic decrease in quality around S5. It gets better around the 8th again. I think season 10 is one of the best seasons too btw. I recommend watching the whole thing. You'll find mediocre episodes sprinkled throughout like the other anon said, but still better than any other comedy out on TV right now.
>IT'S ANOTHER REHASH/THROWBACK/SEQUEL EPISODE
It is heavily implied that Uncle Jack raped Charlie as a kid. Not necessarily a "gay" moment, but it's clear that Charlie doesn't know anything about sex (the way he acts with the Korean, and completely nonsexual advances towards the waitress).
Which is weird, while the Dee and CHarlie moment last season was cute, it was pretty out of character for Charlie. Which, I guess would still fit in with that episode's theme.
>It is heavily implied that Uncle Jack raped Charlie as a kid
>mfw the outtakes for The Great Recession when Charlie's mom says Jack doesn't rape kids, he touches them
My actual sides
>but it's clear that Charlie doesn't know anything about sex
Well he fucked that girl who wanted an abortion in season 1 and then Alexandra Daddario in the "Charlie and Dee Find Love" episode.
Also he fucked Dee in some episode, don't remember which.
>Well he fucked that girl who wanted an abortion in season 1
Nope. Remember the ending? The whole joke was that Charlie thought the kid was his even though he KNEW he never had sex with her.
And I guess I should've rephrased my point a bit better. He seems to have no idea how a romantic relationship works and how sex fits into it. He banged Daddario to win the waitress over by making her jeailous, yet he never makes an overt sexual advance towards her.
And I mentioned the Dee bit, and how it was pretty out of character for him actually. Yet that still falls back onto the theme of the episode, how Charlie and Dee are the only ones to become somewhat normal when removed from the gang environment.
>the episode where she becomes a successful comedian earns Mac, Charlie, and Frank's respect and Dennis' envy only for it to be an elaborate ruse
It felt like it was going too far into unbelievable territory, but I still enjoyed it
>The Gang Tries Desperately To Win An Award
Am I the only one that missed the joke on the first go round? Wasn't until the second time I saw it that I realized they were talking about the show itself.
>OH I'M SORRY! IS THE BABY ADDICTED TO CRACK, IS THE BABY ADDICTED TO CRACK?
This. Mac's always had subtle homo tendencies, but everyone got flanderized hard in that season, so he became the full gay guy who couldn't even get it up for women when he used to be cool with chicks in the past
>inb4 he's bi
He didn't want to bang the angel dust girl.
Dennis also became a full psychopath instead of a lazy self-centered dude with an occasional manipulative streak.
This is what happens when a show stays on the air this long. Prove me wrong.
Why has this thread been so comfy? ALl the other threads are constantly filled with shitposting and talking about how shit the show is. Instead we get some actual discussion here.
Fuck, if you ctrl-f "reddit," this will be your only result. That's impressive.
It never really fully goes to shit to the point where it's worth dropping, I guess the current season has had a bit of a rocky start, but I'm guessing they were just getting the throwback episodes out of the way and that it'll improve. I'd say that the average quality does sort of drop a bit, but there are only a few episodes that are overall shit and even the seasons that are weakest overall still have some of the best episodes.
Basically it goes from every episode being great to being a bit more hit-or-miss, but the worst episodes of Always Sunny are better than the best episodes of a lot of current comedies out there, and even the worst episodes have some solid jokes.
>The whole joke was that Charlie thought the kid was his even though he KNEW he never had sex with her.
>even though he KNEW he never had sex with her.
Right after the opening credits Dee asks Charlie if he had sex with the woman and he answers yeah. Also agrees that they didn't use birth-control.
Yeah, I got mixed up with one of the deleted scenes from I think season 6. In that it's implied that he lost his virginity to her, but it was a traumatic experience and he hadn't had sex since.
>it's a dumbasses on /tv/ try to claim that a particular character quirk is "canon" when in fact they're intentionally inconsistent with the characters' knowledge and mental disabilities from episode to episode
In literally the second episode of the show, Mac is saddened that he wasn't raped by his high school Gym teacher. He even goes to the guys house and trys to get him to rape him as an adult.
It gets my dick hard when effeminates on /tv/ bring up /pol/ when anything that's politically incorrect or hurts their anonymous feelings is said
This is bullshit, I invented nightcrawlers in 1995 and played it all the time with my friends during sleepovers.
I'm willing to bed tons of other people invented this game during sleepovers.
Rules are simple everything stays inside of your sleepingbag, hands and arms cannot be used (unless it's for holding your sleepingbag up to your neck)
Okay, a couple of questions /tv/. Why can't women into comedy, yet Kaitlin Olson frequently steals the show when it's a Dee episode? You can argue that she's not a writer, and it's mostly the 3 guys, and that's somewhat fair. But Olson definitely makes the character. Take the physical comedy as an example. A dying breed, but Dee knocks it out of the fucking park. I can't think of a single actress that can do this shit as well as her.
What's the fucking secret?
I liked her short confrontation with Charlie in the boxing episode when they're both hopped up on roids.
That isn't it, but it's what I could find.
Mac is in such denial that he's never fucked a dude (not including Trannys like Carmen).
He'll jump at the chance to wrestle with some dudes in the locker room or help musclemen prep for the big show. But he would never actually have gay intercourse with a man.
He's basically gay like a Jojo character.
>not emulating Dennis as much as possible
Definitly alot of spiders around, ghouls are not real.. so yes they were also present.
Kids I hope, it's clearly a sleepover game... you need a sleepingbag to become a worm and crawl
It was really clearly supposed to be left ambiguous in the early seasons, more or less just a running joke as to whether or not he was.
Then I guess they just had nowhere to go with it other than flat out saying it to the audience, which was the shittiest thing they could have done with him.
It was a funny little joke early on, now it feels like when they just say "Mac you're gay" it's no longer a joke for the audience, and they just keep pointing it out and it ruins it.
case closed. "Mac is a Serial Killer" episode.
Charlie: Wha... yes you did. You're two people, right? Let's see the other one. Let him out.
Mac: Let who out?
Charlie: The serial killer! Let the serial killer out!
Mac: I'm not a serial killer!
Frank: Then why all the shady behavior?
Mac: I've been banging the tranny! I didn't want you guys to find out!
Charlie: No, you've been... what?!
>hits up /k/
I'd say only for the first season
Literally every other season he's more into Karate than guns and thinks that sidestepping would outrun someone's aim.
He probably goes to /v/
The Gang Hits the Road
>Charlie: I've never left Philly before, I mean what are people like?
>Dennis: Well people are people.
>Charlie: So is there gonna be like a dick?
>Dennis: There may be a couple dicks, but I got your back. I'll back you up
>Charlie: Aw thanks man
Thanks familia, will watch these in posting order.
Watch the whole thing, saying it gets awful at season 5 is a meme. Every season has a few good episodes and most of the bad ones aren't even that bad. People say the later seasons are awful, but season 8 is one of the best ones
Fun thread guys. Look forward to Wednesday. Let's keep the shitposting to a minimum, right?
Except that's false. funny that it's for attention and yet most bi people don't really tell anyone. We get hate from both straights and gays. Why even bother thinking about sexuality in such a rigid way, just go with the flow faggot.
All of the gang is /pol/ in one way or another.
Mac has the religious nutjob element. Charlie has the conspiracy theorist element. Dennis and Dee used to be child Nazis. Frank hates Jews with a passion, even though he's the Jewest of them all.
He's a goddamn Stallion.
Dennis is /fit/
>always talks about his physique
>does gay poses
>makes fun of Frank for being short
>drinks the least of the crew
Charlie is /b/
>cant form coherent thoughts
Mac is /pol/
>always on about Christianity, but is a horrible person
Dee is /tv/
>failed acting career
>"stars" in plays
Frank is /int/
>shady import deals
>plays Chinese suicide gambling with foreigners
>traveled to Vietnam
Holy shit, the blankets could be like dirt
>Frank hates Jews with a passion
Frank was the one who suggested leaving the jews out of it, Mac is the one who knows they don't like us as much as we don't like them which is why they have their J-sites.
