It's a surrealist/dadaist talk show with sketch comedy bits. It has roots in fucking Space Ghost Coast to Coast, to boot.

I particularly like how they cut the interviews down from hours of tape, where the guest just gets more and more upset/confused/uncomfortable, but to the viewer it just looks like the mood was suddenly very awkward, THEN IT KEPT GOING.

I've never seen the show but is it like Filthy Frank with surreal characters/skits and random nonsense?

1st season was the best. Shitty video quality and bad/sparse lighting gave it a very spooky surreal feel, like it was shot by one deranged person in his garage. Later seasons are good too, but very different. And ending every skit on a freeze-frame with a music stinger is getting annoying.

I find it entertaining due to the violence and mania. The intros, guest spots, and interviews keep me watching, the street skits not so much. T-pain episode is my favorite. The two fat rappers rap battling while running on treadmills gets me every time.
