It's pretty simple, CG is good enough these days that when it's done right it looks nearly indistinguishable from reality. This requires very accurate models of the actors/actresses to base the images off of. It's pretty easy to add clothes to a computer model but taking them off would obviously be nearly impossible. You could imagine using a full, skin tight suit but even that would be a little imperfect and you'd have to do something subtractive to that if you end up needing a scene with any bare skin.
