Why did Mace debate with Anakin about whether to kill or arrest Sheev instead of just moving his saber 20cm forward and killing Sheev? Mace had his saber like right next to Sheev's neck. Since when does Mace listen to Anakin? He would just do what he thought was right and tell Anakin so afterwards. Out of character.

Why does Anakin not arrest Sheev after he kills Mace Windu? Anakin said to Mace that he needed to bring Sheev in to stand trial. But he immediately forgets this and pledges loyalty and subservience to Sheev in order to save his wife from a bad dream he had.

Why does he completely forget the reason he pledged loyalty to Sheev was to save his wife? He chokes his own wife, then when she dies he literally has no reason to stay with Sheev, who he knows is an evil sith lord who engineered the war to grab power.
