Aliens announce they will come to earth but first wish to see an example of our art to learn about human nature
What single film do we collectively agree to show them?
I nominate Hugo's Les Misérables.
>Nothing comes close to touching Tolstoy's war and peace
I think a nice classical music piece would be a better display for aliens. Think of it, an alien watching a movie wouldn't understand what the fuck anyone is saying, wouldn't understand their facial expressions, and wouldn't understand any of the objects that they see. Music, however, has a more naturally ingrained appeal
Not even a whole movie is needed.
It contains our culture, familial relationships as well as a brief graphic understanding of our universes creation. Although The Voyage of Time may soon supersede this.
It's the only right choice
i'm just saying if we're going to assume these aliens won't be able to understand our languages then the best thing to do would be what >>64923044 said and give them a music piece
So recently I just watched Hateful Eight and The Revenant.
I saw they have Amadeus on netflix. I was gonna watch it but I'm not sure if I should. I've been watching a lot of 3 hour movies lately. Is Amadeus worth the time?
I'd say pic related would have the same effect
It would be glorious. Sadly they wouldn't understand it at first but maybe we'll find a way to translate it.
This movie has it all. Any other answer is wrong.
Robocop without a doubt, it's a movie everyone can love plus it will spark a Verhoeven-esque renaissance in film.
I feel that pic related examines the human condition with more respect to it than any other movie I've seen.
Fuck off with your tumblr'd up screenshot
