both are pretty good. 2003 was good because it used the Samurai Jack style of animation, which fit Star wars perfectly. The 3D one is good too, it works and makes the prequels much more enjoyable. Good filler, just wish it was given to people with a bit more ambition. You could really do a lot of good things with a star wars series, fill it plot holes, create new interesting lore, etc. But a lot of the episodes are just boring. The way TCW worked was every four episodes was a new arc that was self-contained within itself, or referenced in another arc in a later season.
The show did get cancelled because of the Disney buy out, and them not wanting the show on CN and not their own Disney channels.
There were some un-produced episodes that were put online, two related arcs that would have been episodes were turned into a book, and another arc was turned into a comic. Everything else that was planned for the show was just put on canon back burner until further notice (plot lines of the show reaching and going past ROTS, Order 66 stuff, etc).

Then there's Rakata Prime on the Force Awakens Galaxy map and Taris in Aftermath.

Disney hasn't yet budged into ancient old Republic stories yet and I wouldn't be surprised if a KOTOR adaptation or remake was their first canon foray into those stories. Especially since Kotor has so much fan fare.

The Inquisitors are not Sith. They are only trained to do the grunt work for Vader, who doesn't feel like tracking down the 1-2% of Jedi that survived the Purge. When he does hunt down Jedi, it's only for those that the Inquisitors are too weak to defeat. They are not taught anything that you need to learn to become a Sith. Again, red lightsaber =/= Sith.

Especially in ROTJ, when Luke is about to kill Vader, I never understood what stopped him from hypothetically killing Vader and the Emperor and then declaring victory for the rebellion. Also they constantly talk about "bringing balance to the force" but they want to destroy the only major Dark Side users, the Sith. These guys actually want balance. On top of that give a cool origin story for the Jedi Order. Basically a race of insane dark side using aliens invade the Je'Daii planet and start trying to colonize them. They resist with both the light side and the dark side, but in the process they witness the sheer destructive force of the Dark Side. They defeat the invaders, and then there's a big split, with one side claiming that the dark side is too destructive and dangerous, and the other claiming that they need to use it to survive, lest he invaders return. They eventually fight a civil war over it, the Light Side users are victorious, and go on to form the Jedi Order, which explains why the Jedi are so dogmatic and intolerant of dissent or anything remotely related to the Dark Side.

In context, Vader is trying to frighten the Rebels into fleeing Lothal in such a way that he can track them back to the Rebel fleet.

Their survival is part of the plan, and the plan actually works: the Empire tracks them down, and Vader blows up most of the fleet on his own in his TIE before the other ships catch up. Part of the fleet does escape, including the Ghost, but not after sustaining heavy losses.
