No googling, no minutes of thought. Just try to remember what her character's name is in Star Wars VII off the top of your head.
>you now realize it's a fucking horrible shit movie that you can't even remember the main character's name
I haven't seen the movie, and have no plans to see the movie, and I remember her name. It's Rey. I don't even like the names for any of the characters of this film, but something I certainly can say is that I remember them.
If there's a character whose name I can't remember sometimes it's probably Poe. I really liked him in the beginning but they wasted his character by having him "dead" for most of the movie.
Oh, and the orange alien lady, Maz.
Her name is phonetically the same as my waifu's. How could I forget it?
this is my favorite theory to be honest. She's too young to be his daughter directly though. it would go like this
>Sheev has a bastard son
>uses nepotism to place his son as a high-ranking Imperial officer on some backwater planet that nobody gives a shit about
>son has a daughter
>the Rebels finally assault that planet as they're routing the Empire after RotJ
>they find out the truth about the Officer's background and execute him
>they want to execute baby Rey too, rationalizing that she could be dangerous like her grandfather
>Luke stops them and saves her because she's just a child
>drops her off on Jakku, gives her a new identity and leaves her to live a normal Force-less life
>she ends up realizing her power and finding Luke
>Luke's face when
And such a shitty character she is though.
Are you high? She always wants to go back to Jakku to wait for the parents who will never come, she rejects the call to destiny by Maz cuz she's scared, she went a fucked up vision and so on and so on.
Mary Sue Skywalker
How fucking retarded do you have to be to forget that?
Would you let her on the bridge of your space ship anon?
>too young to be Luke's daughter
How do you work that one out?
Kylo Ren is Han's son, and Rey/ Ren are roughly the same age.
And that theory is cringy and shit. Like, seriously - I'm embarrassed for you. It's overly convoluted, makes fuck all sense, and is full of shitty fanfic characters. If Palpatine had a force-sensitive son, (the bastard idea is retarded, because when have bastards ever been a thing in the SW verse?) Sheev would use him as a pawn in a scheme, unless he actually feels affection for the boy - in which case, you'd expect to see him by his side, being groomed for political office. Also, when does he have this son, and who with? Also also - Rebels, executing people? Really?
Not that guy but i think the "Rey is Palapatine granddaughter theory" interesting..
He said too young to be Palpatine's daughter, not Luke.
>when does he have this son, and who with?
He was the emperor of the whole galaxy for 20 years between EP 3 and 4, lot of thing can happen. He might even had sex at some point.
He was also a politician for probably a few decades before Episode I. It highly plausible he had sex, and even possible that he had a wife that was just never mentioned in the movie.
A man whose face looked like a shrivelled white testicle, having sex. A man who was an old man when he became Emperor, and was ancient by Return of the Jedi. A man who never gave us any indication of having the remotest romantic or sexual inclinations.
He had a son.
Questionable who is.... though its not really as a big deal. Two characters can be protagonists/main characters if done well. It's done pretty well so far. Anyone who says otherwise is fucking lying.
Finn is done really well as a character, he's likeable, has well defined traits, and flaws as well that can play into later character development and be overcome.
Rey on the other hand, isn't done well at all. She has no character flaws whatsoever, any 'mistakes' that she's made turned out to go better for her just because, and by the end of the movie, she's easily the most powerful character, bar Luke and maybe Snoke who even fucking knows. And there's only one direction for her to go as a protagonist, being the strongest WITHOUT training, training under fucking Luke fucking Skywalker is only going to make her even stronger, which means hooray, there's now ZERO tension in any fight she's in from now on. If she can beat Kylo Ren, who's spent his entire life training to be Darth Vader, with no training, why should anyone else ever pose a threat WITH training?
Rey has to absolutely get wrecked in the end of episode 8 to redeem her character. She should get her ass kicked the whole film really. She should suck at Jedi training even. They have to do something.
Woah, woah. You are overboard, man. She might be a mary sue but she's some sort of main character. That's all I said.
In the end, though, I went in hearing she was a Mary Sue. She's kinda bad but not horrible. And what's worse is that people are fucking making shit up or assuming
>Kylo Ren trained his entire life to be Darth Vader
Yes, he was trained. Nothing else is even remotely. All his life? No. Fighting against his alignment? Yep.
But yea, she's a bit overpowered
Well he trained for awhile under Luke, and has been training under Snoke since he went ape-shit. I don't recall exactly how long ago they said Luke disappeared, but it seemed like awhile.
His entire adult life then, if not his childhood like other Jedi
Yes, perhaps. People forget he got hurt and so much more. Trained vs inborn sklll though. Rey is obviously true Jedi, born of amazing seed. Ren maybe not. Leia seems obviously not force sensitive. It's confusing now
She is, but isn't trained. Without training, its limited. Look at Luke in ESB, having trouble with his ship. IN ROJ, he probably could do it.
Same idea. She didn't pass on the super jedi shit, just Jedi shit.
He was hurt, but he wasn't acting gravely injured or even really that affected. He wasn't staggered or hard of breath, he wasn't slow, uncoordinated, or gassed in any way, from a combat perspective he was A-OK
And when it comes to storytelling, Rey didn't clearly get lucky, or take advantage of an opening or anything, for all intents and purposes she just beat him, clean, fair, and square.
Spoiler alert: he isn't the final villain. I can't believe you fucking idiots. He either gets MUCH stronger via Snoke training or some other horse crap or he is replaced the main villain.
If you think, the next episode, it will be same old beaten Kylo Ren, watch more movies, read more books and leave 4chan
What do you think of her acting ability?
> Rayce Mixer
The correct way to do this joke would have been
> Rey Smixer
It's meant to look like the feed line, but sound like the punch line. I'm confident you'll do better next time.
Rey is her last name. Her first name is Treacho
She's a good actress tb.h
