I'll give you some of the less known great noirs:
The Killers - one of the best opening scenes of all time; it's like tarantino in the 40s
Call Northside 777 - one of the most underrated i've ever seen; it stars james stewart
Out of the Past - this is pure noir; it can pass as boring to the pleb viewer so take care
Leave Her to Heaven - psychological thriller, but more on the romantic side; this one's in color, staring Gene Tierney, so I recommend high definition
Sunset Boulevard, although Lady in the Lake is a neat film and Laura is one of my personal favorites. The Big Heat is a brilliant deconstruction too.
