I don't think anyone's said they are masterpieces, just that they were far more original than TFA.

Personally I hate TFA more than the prequels because atleast the prequels tried tell a new story and create something (even if they failed). TFA just obvious took the safe road by regurgitating the original 3. I respect the attemp taken with the prequels, there's nothing to respect with TFA.

I don't think the prequels are good movies (they have some terrible shit in there) but there are a few cool ideas. What cool new ideas does TFA?
