Ok, this was pretty damn good.
Recommend me some more Russian flicks.
Zhmurki (lock stock and two smoking barrels in Russia)
Voyna (same director as Brat)
Chistilishe (feels, lots of feels)
POKHORONITE MENYA ZA PLINTUSOM (pretty dark movie about a kid)
SIBIR. MONAMUR (dark film)
Leviafan (dark film)
Gruz 200 (same director as Brat)
Blokpost (dark film)
DMB ("mr sergeant sir i lost my rifle")
There was some more but its all I remember from top of my head.
Wait, that poster is so similar to this one
OK remembered some more
The State Counsellor (very good actors for this movie)
The Turkish Gambit (watched that film 7 times)
ok that should cover most genres. There was also a site somewhere made by Russophile who had tons of movies from Russia reviewed. Most are shit like they are but some are worth to watch.
Never watch Green elephant.
Even the comfiest movies are still somewhat depressing. Of the recents I'd recommend The Geographer Drank His Globe Away if you want comfy and Durak (2014) if you want grimdark Russian Wire sort of thing.
Watch Green Elephant for top tier Russian shock exploitation. It's a huge hit in the Russian internet, though probably won't be as funny to non speaker.
This is a good list. >>64711700
Balabanov is the best post-soviet Russian director. He passed away recently.
utter Uwe Boll shit
pleb taste, comrade. couldn't get any more reddit
Meme name, clarify why list is shit then, also
never been there.
Well, then the popular ones are good, except
The Irony of Fate
The film would probably be good if it wasn't for main actor, even the actress didn't want to kiss him.
