based Stuckmann humiliates tryhard haters
It mystifies me how he and Jeremy Johns have such a huge fanbase. They're both have absolutely zero screen presence or charisma and their reviews consist of the most surface level analysis that any idiot could regurgitate. Johns in particular annoys me with his ADD jumpcuts.
>TFA probably was the most anticipated movie of all time
Right off the bat hes wrong, it's not "probably" the most anticipated, that goes to episode one.
>literally 2min into the "review"
>Luke wasn't a part of campaing
wrong you fucking twat
i like TFA but this guy is the worst
>I had no idea talking about movies on youtube warrants formal attire
Lay off, the guy loves Star Wars and spends all his spare time watching movies like a manchild, it's probably the only time he gets to wear his "nice" suits that he got from Men's Wearhouse, God knows he doesn't have a real job.
Anyone who follows him on twitter knows he's been upset that people dare have problems with it. He's like a bitter chick who won't let something go. It's been a while but it was like 1 tweet a day about it for a good week or so
I love Chris, but he is a pleb. I enjoy his voice, no homo.
>Le tout nouveau testament
jesus christ this guy is stupid
>it messed with the formula too much!
indiana jones is 300 years old. he can't even climb the stairs at this point.
>people can't even explain why the fourth movie was bad!
Beeeeecause it was bad?
I'm 28 minutes in and this apologism is full of false equivalences. "OMG JJ kept the camera on Rey and Finn and not the explosions behind them like what Michael Bay would do, therefore better move lololollol XDDD"
I agree with him.
I can see /tv/ being childish and ignoring every point he makes though.
>says people didn't like the prequel trilogy because it looked too different which made it not feel like star wars
>immediately follows this up with a 5 minute montage with side by side shots demonstrating how the prequel trilogy looks almost identical to the original trilogy
He said it hits the same beats and used to video to show that, but pointed out that people don't think it looks and feels like Star Wars because it makes aesthetic changes.
Basically you ignored all the poetry because you were distracted by all the goofy shit Lucas threw in.
No, it didn't. It was a comparison of shots. Those shots did not all happen in the same order in each film so it has nothing to do with "beats." It's one hundred percent a visual comparison.
He is claiming that the best this film has to offer is the characters.
Forgets to mention the Mary Sue, Poe Dameron is a generic character, General Hux is shit, Phasma is shit, Snoke is a wannabe Sheev, and last but not all the fried up old asian lady Maz.
The only "good" new character is Finn and that's because according to Stuckmanns own words he's "the most human" a claim that cannot be said for the rest of the new characters.
Stuckmann: This is not a shit movie. Here is why.
This Thread: This pleb likes Star Wars. Let's make fun of him. Did I see the movie? Of course I did. Everyone saw it. Did I enjoy the movie? Yea. Stop trying to derail the thread, though. We're making fun of this guy who reviews movies in his free time. What do I do with my free time?
Shitpost about movies.
>Chris sounding like Mr. Plinkett is meant to illustrate an important point he makes in the video. He may sound similar and do things similarly to RedLetterMedia in the video, but the structure of the analysis is actually quite different. Anybody? Just me? Okay.
Reminder that he was bullied in school and didn't have any friends in school and that's why he loves Blockbuster movies. That's why he's doing this now. If you attack TFA, you're attacking his only friend in life.
Stuckmann isn't that bad but the guy lacks personality. Definitely better than king Jeremy, the wicked who is a massive pleb that showers the most overrated movies out there with praise for the sake of "DUDE NERD STUFF LMAO".
I like Stuckmann but it's fucking pathetic his favorite film of 2015 is fucking TFA of all films.
Like 2015 was a dry year for the most part, but we still got a shit ton of gems here and there that absolutely blow TFA and the toy franchise which spawned it out of the water.
>thinking you can make fun of someone while posting anime reaction image
If you don't like anime your a normie redditor and need to get out.
Didn't he go over the negative aspects of the film?
>bad CGI for the tentacle monster things
>John Williams score not up to par
>Deathstar version 3.0
You didn't watch the video, did you?
Disliking anime is reddit meme strikes again
>posting a reddit meme
>hate formulaic movies
>prefer Temple of Doom to Last Crusade (though the Dad mechanic is nice like he says)
>bored to tears by Bond movies
>don't like TFA for being formulaic
I like how he brings up Siskel and Ebert only to dismiss Siskel's opinion.
It's like you people going to see the next Marvel annual installment every single time. I actually can't fathom how you aren't bored to tears.
>master of scene transitions
Does he provide any evidence of this?
I'd take Old Man Lucas's star wipes over whatever clunky transition Abrams has brought over from TV with him.
Add Schmoes Know. I get that their schtick is "we don't know anything about movies, we're just a couple of retards like you who want to hang out and watch some flicks", but why would I actually want to watch that?
And Cinema Sins is probably the worst thing on your list there. That thing is like listening to a teenage girl who spent the whole film texting complaining that the movie doesn't make sense.
>and said "hey movies are awesome aren't they"
translation: I only car about lightsabers and explosions and not about characters or emotion.
>literally copying the story elements wholesale from a prior movie is the same as having a similar story structure
Indiana Jones had a similar formula but It would be more like if in the third movie they had to go get the Ark of the Covenant again and the opening scene was finding an idol in a jungle.
>He can feel a pull toward good
which is pants-on-head retarded.
>Far more compelling villain
Jesus what a retard. Making the character a little angsty bitch doesn't make them more compelling.
Every review can more or less be summarized as:
>The performances and effects were really good. The writing was good overall, though there were a few parts that could've been done better. Overall, I give this movie an A+. Tom Hardy deserves an Oscar.
