>"We attack at dawn"
Why is it always at fucking dawn?
the same reason the DEA will kick your door down at dawn
you ain't expecting it
>200% exp gain
>your enemies are probably going to be brushing their teeth or still asleep when you attack
>element of surprise
>"holy shit!" wake everyone up we're under attack
This is literally how the british military (the most powerful military of its time) lost to a few americans with some cheap muskets. The brits had to wake up, take showers, poop, powder their wigs, make breakfast, read the newspaper, drink ten cups of tea, shine their shoes, and wait for the bongs to figure out what time it was. The American rebels just woke up, shat in a hole, drank Budweiser then got their guns and fired randomly at the british soldiers.
>be norwegian conscript
>out on exercise
>we'll attack the enemy's base at 0500
>guy asks "why 0500? We always attack 0500"
He was actually right. Keep in mind, if you ever go to war against Norway they'll most likely surprise attack at 0500.
>muh damn job
>never get to see muh kids
>fucken FBI being dicks to me and muh boys
>muh chief doesn't understand what a po-lees is
>looks dramatically into the distance at event unfolding
except it was just US vs GB, and what really happened was that the rebels grew up on their land and used it to their advantage by hiding in bushes and trees while the redcoats used no form of camouflage and walked about cockily.
Dawn is the earliest time with some visibility.
Some armies even practice a ~30 minute defensive line around the camp at dawn to be ready for a potential attack. Not even kidding. "Dawn attacks" are a real thing.
>We can't transmit, have a look at the transmitter!
>guys try to fix it by opening it up and changing parts
>damn it, i give up!
>kicks the antenna
>it works now
Fuck you The expanse
Made me delete the it instantly
There was no massive land force of French or Spanish troops during the American Revolution.
However France did provide us with much needed supplies, officers to train us and a decent navy to hold GB back.
>"at least things can't get any worse"
>"they just did"
>We attack at dawn
Really Napoleon, really?
