Alexander is alright. I don't know which version is better, but you see dem phalanxes all up in that shit.
I want to see some films about the the Greek world pre-Alexander and pre-muh 300. The shenanigans there are more entertaining than GoT.
some people do it, and some don't. i've never seen anyone get so confused by it though. if someone does it you can typically assume they write a lot of emails as it becomes sort of like a habit to leave a space after the greeting and it makes the post/email look neater and easier to read.
also it isn't a meme, nor is it new. its been used since the beginning of this site. it doesn't really mean anything. the fact that someone would question it as if they've never seen it leaves me to think that they are either new, or fresh out of /b/ for the first time (aka also new)
It's basically Xenophons Persian expedition right?
>get invited to Persia to help their king as mercenaries
>his Persian rival kills him and wants to wipe out the Greeks that supported him
>Have to go through hostile territory to make it home
It actually really did start then. Or at least, it was extremely uncommon before then and really ramped up during the TFA campaign.
Trust me, I've been here since the inception of the board and I make notes about these sorts of changes for my private for-profit blog.
