this. great family man, honest worker, loves his country. did some bad shit and feels remorse but knows war does strange things to people. Never thought I would look up to a nazi but smith was such an admirable character. really interested to see where his story goes
I'm basically this person except i've never been caught but i've never done anything huge.
Snake Plissken is a response against the authority, the politicians who exploit the people, the religious radicals who try to force their views on to others, the tax man who picks from your wallet, he is the man who says fuck you to your face and rides away.
In the Peter Weir movie "Fearless" when the plane is going down and everyone's freaking out, but the pilot says it's "just turbulence", this drunk middle aged man just calmly says "I don't think this is turbulence". Something about his delivery and how completely rational he sounded instantly moved me. If I could be half as calm as that man in such a crisis I would feel like a winner.
I agree, it's so fucking tame and boring. Nothing happens, the film meanders around for a while and they escaped. I like the ending and the soundtrack
but that's is really. The opera scene is really good, wish they focused on it longer cause that song is great.
