Yes Scott was in his 40's when he released his debut but it's because he spent the prior two decades in the industry working shit jobs on sets and learning firsthand how movies get made.

I wouldn't say it's not happening because you're 24, I would say it's not happening because you're 24 and shit posting on 4chan. The funniest shit about the internet is it's filled with people who think they can get something done because they've seen Pulp Fiction 400 times but the truth is you'd learn more sitting in an abandoned house all day with a shitty camera and some lighting equipment.
