What's the deal with this shit tier bitch of a character? In both the novel and both film adaptations Lounds is an ugly little rat-man who gets his lips bitten off and set on fire but the tv show changes it so all the shitty things happen to someone else and she gets to walk around like she's the cat's meow. Why the changes?
Because she's a woman?
Oh, I'm sorry. I can't hear you over the sound of the only adaptation humanity ever needed, of that particular novel by Thomas Harris.
Fuller also said something along the lines of that he changed the person in the wheelchair to Chilton rather than Freddie because he never wants to have a woman die graphically onscreen. Fucking prick. Having said that the scene turned out for the better since Chilton was based and likable, which made the scene genuinely suspenseful.
>cannibalistic serial killer on the loose
>everyone suspects the friendly autist who is catching serial killers and saving lives
>no one suspects the creepy dead eyed emotionless psychiatrist who constantly jokes about eating people
>i do not think Fiennes' performance as the tooth fairy was something the humanity will need to preserve throughout the ages
Not onscreen faggot. Chilton had his fucking face ripped open and body set on fire. Like Abigail is the only onscreen death for a female in this show and she only had her throat slashed. Incredibly tame compared to all the grisly shit that goes on in this show on a regular basis.
Oh, so now I should be obliged to watch something such as Manos, the Hands of Fate if Laurence Olivier gave an Oscar-winning performance in it? Shit is still shit, no matter who's performing in it.
>now I should be obliged
What are you talking about? I'm just saying that the actor did a great job no matter how stupid that other poster was. I couldn't give less fucks if you watch it or not.
Should people be obliged to not make another adaptation and watch Manhunter for eternity because you think you know what humanity needs? Get some perspective.
yeah who would consider this dying graphically
You mean the only adaptation humanity ever needed of all of Thomas Harris' books.
Silence of the lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon Hannibal Rising and the TV series (lel) are all complete dogshit compared to Manhunter.
