>Apologized for season 2 of True Detective
>Cancelling Girls next year
>Confirms a Deadwood movie at last
>Vinyl and Westworld look good
Is 2016 the year HBO finally turns the ship around?
Let's wait and see what the Deadwood movie actually turns out like first. Also they will probably continue to butcher Game of Thrones, especially since they're now flying solo on the story.
All this fucking Girls hate.
For a half hour show, I love it.
Unlikable characters does not an unlikable show make.
GOT has been lost since season 2
What don't you enjoy about fucking Togetherness?
Oh well durrrrr I was talking about things he directed and he only directed the pilot for Boardwalk leaving all creative decisions to Terence Winter. Regardless of the fact Boardwalk Empire is a good fucking show.
Shhhh. Anything to make Lena Dunham look bad.
Shame I never see Veep mentioned here. I binged all 4 seasons over the Summer and it was great. And I think JLD is one of the only Jewish actresses /tv/ likes.
it's boring, filled with cliches and stilted melodrama, and the characters are all awful people in the most uninteresting way possible.
It's the same formula as girls, you pick a niche demographic of insufferable people and then create the show to glamorize the drama of their life and reflect back their own insecurites and self loathing under the guise of "satire"
it's pure vanity and masturbation, it's disgusting.
“Well, you know what? I set him up. To deliver, in a very short time frame, something that became very challenging to deliver,” Lombardo recently said on KPCC’s The Frame. “That’s not what that show is. He had to reinvent the wheel, so to speak. Find his muse. And so I think that’s what I learned from it. Don’t do that anymore.”
>I only watch shows where the characters are nice, upstanding, individuals, who never have problems and always make good decisions!
characters are only good if they're interesting flawed or not
these shows are dramas about melodrama, character studies about boring flat characters, and comedies that never make you laugh.
they're bad shows.
Nah, dude. We didn't have TV growing up, just old VHS tapes. 40s Superman is my childhood.
Just reiterating this point: >>64671834
>ugh, I don't like these people, they're not good
Is a shit reason to not like a show. Or at least call it bad.
I can't stand Trainspotting; I hate seeing heroin and I don't like any of the shit humans that populate the screenplay, but I can see it as a decent movie regardless.
complaints from dad-less kids who dont actually pay for hbo and pirate it.
