>ywn watch this for the first time again
>tfw you've seen so much Vanellope r34 you can't enjoy this without impure thoughts
Fuck, I miss her man. Sometimes I think erasing all traces of her would be better but then I think of the good times and the good things she made me feel and I can't imagine what it would be like without those memories.
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
I normally watch them all once a year but I didn't in 2015 and watching this now just fucked me up, I'm crying holy shit
Patrician choice coming right through.
8 minutes of pure fucking feels.
>I chose not to go to Korea. I'd had enough of war. I stayed around Hershey, PA, finally finding a little farm a little peaceful corner of the world, where I still live today.
Yub Nub was always trash anyways. This always gets me, the sacrifice that has passed, the struggle for the future, but the hope that comes with it.
Not even a huge fan of the movie, but Matthew's acting when she says
>because my dad promised me
along with the music, gives me literal chills every time.
Anyone else relate or am I just a pleb?
Nah you're not a pleb, it's that fucking note of music that kicks in when she says it, and Matthew's acting seals the deal.
Actually one of my favorite small examples of acting. When most actors close their eyes during an emotional moment, they're clearly trying to tap into something internal to force tears. Here, it genuinely looks like he's trying to hold back tears like a father would. We give Nolan a hard time but this is a genuinely great emotional moment.
Literally my favourite movie of all time
I guess if you want to look at it from the other side, things were going fine, new government, new jedi order, splinter groups from the empire ran away and kept to themselves.
Its the resurgence of the dark side that fucked everything.
Luke needs to balance the light and the dark and get on that grey jedi shit to finish this.
>things were going fine
For the apparently extremely small part of the galaxy that was liberated, not that we know anything about the current state of the universe
No what irks me is that every OT character went on to live absolutely awful lives
>Leia still general of some small fringe group of rebel- I mean resistance, is a single mother (wtf) now and her son left for the other camp
>Han quit Leia, lost the fucking Falcon, is working a shit job smuggling, same family situation as Leia (wtf)
>Luke made a jedi school but they all got slaughtered and he exiled himself for life on some backward shithole
The galaxy is fucked as well, would you feel safe knowing that at any moment your entire star system could be blown up, and there is NOTHING that could be done to stop it? At least with the death star you knew what you got, if you let the giant base reach your planet, you're dead
Now some small band hiding in the unknown regions like the First Order can build a galaxy gun no problem and blow you up from the other side of the galaxy
Fuck anyone who wrote this
