How nice of them to include this masterpiece into the review

This is a closed audition, which means that we do not accept open submissions, and only those that were approached by our team are eligible. >"They must be paid off!!11!!1!"
I just love the thought of Disney giving enough of a fuck about RLM in order to pay them to say good things about one of the biggest box office blockbusters in all history just so maybe a couple of hundred people who otherwise wouldn't would go see it
See it from the point of view of why would Disney NOT pay them?
They have billions to spare and these guys made a viral video critical of Star Wars. It's the go-to criticism of the prequels. Celebrities have mentioned it.
I think it's likely someone from Disney probably contacted them with some kind of non-disclosure agreement, offering a lot of money to say nice things, but I couldn't say how much or whether they took it.
What does make me wonder is how Max Landis pointed out an obvious flaw with the film (Rey is a Mary Sue), Mike barely mentioned it. The guy who wrote and voiced the Plinkett reviews, which were all about this kind of thing. But maybe it's because they filmed only a short while after seeing the movie (which was probably a mistake).
You clearly have no idea how big businesses work. RLM was most definitely approached by many studios including Disney. The question is how much did Disney fork over to get the greatest Star Wars reviewer to sell himself. 1-2 million is not out of the ballpark.
I love hearing Mike and Jay talk about movies. It makes my heart happy.
When mike started splerging about 70mm and how 5mm was audio that was optically encoded seemed interesting; i want more of that.
There wasn't alot to hate in this one so i guess its hard to be funny / critical.
I live in Canada, I saw it in 70mm and there were no booklets anywhere, this video is the first I've heard of them. There was no projectionist or technician there when I went to see it and for last two thirds of the movie the entire center of the screen was VERY out of focus.
