Discuss horror & exploitation!
Cool movies I've watched in recent days:
>The Cinemasnob Movie
>City Of The Living Dead
>A Serbian Film
All were good :^)
I forgot The Brood. Having seen it before it was much better than I remembered. The monster kids are scary and the psychologist is played excellently.
Phantasm is great. I wish it was on Youtube for group streaming purposes.
Is there a film more bloody than Braindead?
CGI blood is fine too, even if it looks goofy.
Cinema snob movie? What the fuck?
I watched BackCountry, about a couple and a brutal bear attack in the woods, and We Need To Talk About Kevin, which I think most on this board are familiar with.
BackCountry was good, Kevin was excellent
Watching Re-Animator in a few minutes!
Get in here! Great movie!
Have you ever wanted to see bigfoot rip a guy's dick off? Or rape a girl and then the girl gives birth to a half-human half-bigfoot thing that lives with her in a cabin in the woods?
Straming Theatre Of Blood now :^)
Hooker with a Heart of Gold is pretty good, but when you realize that the love interests couples in real life were married and now divorced, it kinda kills the vibe. Also I can't really watch shit that Jake was in because he cucked Brad.
Streaming The Abominable Dr Phibes now, another Vincent Price classic.
I found the ending of the borderlands to be terrifying. Even if the movie was somewhat mediocre, the ending is still quite disturbing.
Also another reccomendation, The Wicker Man (1973 version). I wouldn't necessarily call it 'terrifying', there was a plot twist that through me for a loop and it's hard to describe what I found scary about it without going into spoilers.
the style is rough but this is disturbing as hell.
>best of anything
What did he mean by this
Just saw The Babadook.
I really liked it. I was expecting
a monster movie of sorts, but instead it was this intense psychological thriller. I guess it's kind only ambiguous whether the babadook was real or just an allegory for the mother's murderous desire. But it worked great. I really liked it.
Previous to that I saw John Dies at the End, which isn't exactly horror... felt more like a story by William Burroughs by way of Terry Gilliam.
I was into Cat. 3 some years ago. I'd add
The Untold Story
