Please don't break my fingers
Might as well post more, since you're getting permabanned anyway.

I hope they make the movie sooner so James Hong can at least get a cameo
Nothing of worth anon, newfriends trying to fit in, 'tis all.
They have no respect for a man (yes, man, I said it) that has seen things you people wouldn't believe.
She's totally redpilled now. There's an interview with her on Red Ice Radio that's pretty interesting.
>no midgets running around in the streets
>no retro-futuristic fashion and music
Fuck this world.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROY!
World War Terminus is just around the corner! May you see thing we people wouldn't believe.
>>no midgets running around in the streets
The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long and he burned so very, very brightly.
>tfw no religion subplot
>tfw no atifical animal subplot
At least we have hoverboards though.
>tfw 2019 will most likely be a shitty year
>no space colonization
>no cyberpunk los angeles or neo tokyo will ever happen
The book is so much better than the movie in every way, though I do like it. I love how bizarre Dick's visions of the future are, yet he makes every single one completely plausible, even Ubik's coin operated appliances and doors
>and it bursts into flames randomly
JUST LIKE BUILDINGS IN BLADE RUNNER
WE FUTURE NOW!!!
Once the soul had wings and could soar into heaven. Happy birthday Roy.
What was the deal with the children's rhymes and the howling, Roy? Explain yourself.
I said 'might as well be'. And there is ambiguity in the books. The other blade runner he meets entirely lacks empathy and Deckard thinks he's an android until he proves otherwise. The replicants in contrast feel and empathise and enjoy the beauty of humanity (like the opera).
Deckard struggles with empathy the whole book. He believes that owning a non-synthetic animal like the neighbour he is jealous of will give his life meaning. At the end when he brings the frog back and finds its synthetic, only his wife finds joy in having it there
I interpreted the replicants with being fixated on truth. That's why disproving the religious experience as recorded scene was so important for them. Humans are likewise concerned with the truth, but for different reasons; Deckard longed for the goat as a status symbol, but by the end of the book he cared little for its death. The debunking of the religion also had little effect on the human characters, who could still hope and find spiritual meaning in it. That's why his wife orders the flies for the frog at the end.
All the underage kids will tell you you're wrong, but you're not. Philip K. Dick's "novels" are objectively shit. You have to be a real hack when the world agrees that the movie and TV adaptations are better than the ramblings you got published.
>Youre in a desert walking along in the sand when all of the sudden you look down, and you see a tortoise, its crawling toward you. You reach down, you flip the tortoise over on it's back. The tortoise lays on it's back, it's belly baking in the hot sun, beating it's legs trying to turn it'self over, but it cant, not without your help. But youre not helping. Why is that?
nice try nigger. reddit loves DADOES far mroe than than bladerunner. now please, go back there
Dick was not a good prose stylist, he was basically a pulp writer. He was also a really shitty dude to all of his wives and friends. But he stumbled onto some nice ideas and also had a good sense for plot and humor which makes his books easy to read.
Most of the nowadays beloved science fiction writers were actually hacks, with cringe level worldviews and fedora tier undergrad concepts, Bladerunner is better than Do A. Dream...
Measures empathy level which is supposedly something that only humans are capable of. If that sounds retarded, the characters in the book actually do address problems with the system but acknowledge that, short of dissection of the subject, it's the best way to spot a replicate they have. It isn't perfect.
>birthday is Jan 9th
>seen Bladerunner 5+ times
>never noticed this
>Nexus 6 came out in 2014
>Replicant (Android) M came out last year
Did Google plan this?
