DUDE I'M THE DIRECTOR, BUT I'M ACTING TOO. LOOK HOW QUIRKY I AM LMAO
DUDE I'M THE CHEF, BUT I'M EATING TOO. LOOK HOW MESSY I AM LMAO
that was when he was trying to be fassbinder
Dissapointed not to see him in H8ful.
He is just like Woody Allen. All socially inept directors like to put themselves in their movies so they can feel some sort of an accomplishment. They achieved so much but they're still not satisfied and they still feel socially inept. (look all directors someone mentioned before)
It's like if /r9k/ became successful. They still won't be 100% happy with their life.
Look at Tarantino..he has no wife, he has some 20+ year younger gf currently in hopes she can not see how socially awkward he is. Look at Woody Allen, he had pedophilia charges....I'm telling you QT minus the movies = /robot/
Scorsese only did it due to the actor not turning up on the day of the shoot, it was low-budget, and his personal chemistry with De Niro. Scorsese never put on a faux-australian accent to ramble about niggers and slavery.
That's a good one.
Another one I liked.
Marty actually shows up twice, once in that scene and another time earlier in the film sitting on some steps Travis walks by. I suspect the smaller cameo was shot first then this >>64610807 happened and he got 2 roles
>tarantino's voiceover begins in The Hateful Eight
It's acceptable when a director is starting out and needs exposure to the audience by making a memorable cameo or noticeable background appearance but beyond the first couple of films it's undignified for a autuer.
