Birdman being 'patrician' was b8, but you can't deny that Enter the Void is pleb and Mullholand Dr is hipster. Birdman, though overrated, was objectively better than both those films.
Agreed. First film died because of abysmal camerawork and undeveloped characters. Second film brought in good actors to play cool secondary characters, and was well shot. Third and fourth movies are simply pointless.
>implying I pay money to see movies
Haven't paid for a movie in over 10 years.
>Birdman, though overrated, was objectively better than both those films.
>EVERYTHING IS B8!!!!11
Fuck off, it's what I think. Birdman wasn't some flawless masterpiece, but it had a better story, more compelling characters, and more emotional impact than both those films, and that's stating it lightly. Enter the Void and Mullholand Dr were bland and empty films.
>bland and empty film
Absolute pleb detected, maybe watch it again and see if you can't understand what's going on
You can always go back to reddit though, it's the easy way out
kek if anything it's reddit hipsters that drool over it. mullholand dr had no story, no character development whatsoever, and very little emotional impact. it's hard to make a good film without these things.
The one on the right wasn't actually bad, at least not deserving of the critical rape it got. It was an unnecessary remake of a recent, great movie though, so I think the critics were just disgusted by the commercialism and were primed to hate it.
