Groundbreaking theory incoming, Get ready. Rey is Obi-Wans granddaughter and Luke's daughter. Boom. Just did that. So Luke's sabre got all up in obi'wans daughter. Luke dropped reh off on Jeku wiped her memory and bolted. Kylo never knew Luke got freaky or had a daughter no one did. Oh snap. Super powerful girl. Meta chlorians coming out of every orifice.
Someone archive me already
Imho that theorie is completely unnecesarily going out of the way of everything within some realistic possibilities to explain that Obi Wan had a daughter and that Luke ended up with her. That's just dumb as fuck and things will be far more simple
I hope she's a new character with no relation to the OT, and is super-powerful just because. I also hope that the writers say something like "we felt it was time for a strong female character to empower young women", to trigger /tv/
Since Kylo will redeem himself this is the most probable outcome.
They rekt all the jedi students but Kylo takes Rey from the Knights of Ren and dumps her.
This would explain why Han doesnt seem to know her and Leia is such a cold bitch, they may have not seen her since she was a baby
I said it before you.
But you have good taste in fan theories.
I also have considered that they chose an actress who has visual similarities to Natalie Portman and even gave her the infamous pastry-chef hair of Leia and Padme, but also that she has a High Couriscant (British) accent, and only a small handful of Star Wars heroes fit that description in the original trilogy.
If it's revealed that Rey is Luke's daughter and Obi-Wan's grand daughter, it probably will be revealed in a numbered episode, and then the backstory about her mother will be revealed in the Obi-Wan movie that they are trying to get Ewan McGreggor to sign on for.
It would be kind of an interesting development if it turns out that the hero of the new trilogy is both a Kenobi and a Skywalker-- the granddaugther of both Obi-Wan and Anakin, posessing traits of both families. I would actually be quite well in favor of it.
If Luke hooked up with Obi-Wan's daughter, it would actually make a bit of sense-- Luke was Obi-Wan's apprentice, and reminds her of him in a good way. He modeled himself very much after Obi-Wan's example because Obi-Wan was one of the only Jedi he ever met. Especially in Luke's older years, when he got the beard.
Would be cool to learn that Luke went back to Tattooine and banged his adolescent crush after becoming a Jedi, but it doesn't seem super likely, especially since anyone who hasn't seen the deleted scenes will go "literally who?" Rey being Obi-Wan's anonymous grand daughter is actually seeming like a much more plausible option.
Honestly I'm just hoping for her to be obi wans grandaughter and have no relation to luke.
I hope for a force role reversal between ren and rey but doubt it will happen. Would be sweet if luke training her sets up the events of her training lukes son. Thus the male lineage of skywalker continues.
I don't really see that working out looks wise but I like the idea
Only hypothetically. We're speculating that Rey might be the maternal grand daughter of Obi-Wan, and also Luke's daughter. The missing piece of the puzzle would obviously be Rey's mother, assuming Luke is her father. Rey's mother would be Obi-Wan's daughter, who would have probably been born after the Clone Wars and would have shacked up with Luke after Return of the Jedi.
If she is the grand daughter of Obi-Wan and Anakin, then suddenly her knack for the force is put into perspective. She has Anakin's power but Obi-Wan's discipline.
>Kryze died in Kenobi's arms during the Battle of Sundari.
>Siri Tachi was one of Obi-Wan Kenobi's closest friends, and at one point they were romantically involved. During the Clone Wars, she met an early death on Azure while on a mission with Kenobi.
Fuck me, he had a hard life
This theory has been around since release when everyone heard the ingenious Alec Guiness "Rey" soundbite during the vision and Ewan McGregor's "these are your first steps". Nothing new at all.
That just fucking reeks of Tumblr.
Nope, Kenobi cucked Anakin, Anakin thought the kids were his, and Luke is really Luke Kenobi.
When Ben said Vader killed Luke's father, he saw the future through the force and sought to embrace destiny.
The dark side is against predestination, acting randomly and chaotically, therefore passionately.
The light side is about obeying the rules, being obsequios to tyrants, and maintaining order.
Luke knew he'd be found, and being on the light side he was compelled to leave a trail of breadcrumbs any retard could follow.
Use your eyes, shitbrain. She wasn't a baby. 3-5ish. Kylo has about a decade on her. Han literally says a BOY turned on Luke. So teenage edgelord couldn't bring himself to murder his kindergarten cousin, ditches her on a shithole planet, tells Snoke he killed everyone.
