is knight of cups "terrance malick"s most realized film yet?
I haven't seen it yet but it's pretty shit.
it's really the titty banging foot worship asstravaganza film he's been inching his way to

All of his films, or at least TTRL on are fully realized but yes, this is as well. It caps of an incredibly autobiographical trilogy. It's brilliant.

Humans cannot comprehend anything unless it is in relation with something else. In order for a pearl to form, the oyster must suffer. So for us to see the beauty of the world, we have to experience suffering. But there is suffering in beauty and there is beauty in suffering.
"is" "knight of cups" " 'terrance' malick's " MOST 'realized' 'film' yet?
I consider myself pretty patrician but I didn't understand this movie at all. Knowing how he makes his films with no script, going back to dub voiceovers over footage and trying to find a narrative along the way makes it impossible to see as anything other than that. You can just feel them scraping away at what they have, trying to find some sort of cohesive story.

If you want a story, you should go read a book.
