I thought she was a pretty great character. She shoots and kills 2 men that were both armed, she gets shot and gets up, she takes a few beatings, doesn't resort to screaming and crying in tense situations and is more than willing to stoke her own path on multiple occasions and is shown to be professional, competent, and intelligent.

However she isn't a super hero and gets beaten, can't physically overpower men, doesn't always make the smart decision and is manipulated and forced to do things against her will.
