How are feminazis not raging over this film?
I mean, everything Kate does, she fails at. Every point of the movie she fails. She's constantly beaten up, forced to obey, crying and being a total weak as pussy. I mean she even got chosen because of her gender, they KNEW she would be easier deal with so they kicked her over that black dude because of this.
So... Why did the femenazis let this one slip?
Oh i'm 100% fine with this. More than anyhing it's realistic. A woman has NOTHING to do in that situation except the role she was given. The drugcartel war is a world of men, nothing else
Yes i know that, jesus christ.. I'm not questioning the plotlines, I'm questioning how feminazis aren't furious how the entire film is about a world of men who uses this woman only because of her profession and NOT because of her skills.
They picked her because they easily could control her, because she's a woman. Because she's weak. The film is telling people that women are weak. And feminazis aren't raging. I wonder why.
I guess she was kind of rebellious at the end when she pointed the gun at Alejandro a second time, even if he said she shouldn't... But she didn't shoot and she was crying like a little bitch when she did it
>They picked her because they easily could control her, because she's a woman. Because she's weak. The film is telling people that women are weak. And feminazis aren't raging. I wonder why.
They don't lol
my last gf was frustratingly impatient with any kind of action movie and her favorite of all time was I love you Sarah Marshall
same with my mom, loves rom coms and will leave the room for any action movie
They chose her because she got great ass.
>Kate is useless
>is overshadowed in the narrative by Benicio Del Toro's character
It was a refreshingly realistic take on how women can't do anything and men are inherently more interesting
because she started drinking alcohol and she liked it and then she started to drink it more and more until she decided to use it more frequently in situations she didn't really need it but then she couldn't stop drinking it at them inappropriate times so became a functioning alcoholic and it's quite hard to stop after you have crossed that line my friend. i would know. i was drinking from the age of 13 (europe) and have only just became sober (22) for 2 weeks and it's very hard.
>But the British actress was merely filming scenes for her new film The Girl On The Train as she ducked behind a trash can and filled her water bottle with booze at Grand Central Station on Sunday
Easy there m8
It's mostly only geek girls who like action movies and even then it usually has to be capeshit or have some kind of magical fantasy element to it. Or the lead has to be to their taste.
Because women only get upset about what they're told to be upset about through social media.
And it has to be so simply a woman with a 14 year old girl brain in her adult body can understand it.
Women aren't going to understand Sicario.
A crime/cop movie is so far off the radar of feminazis it's not even funny.
Movie subverts patriarchy by exposing the fact that men's power and domination is based on corruption and cheating. Kate is a strong character but not good at playing the wolf's game. She's losing all the fights because she's always trying to do the right thing. Morally, she's stronger than everyone around her, she's not a coward, she's a fucking superhuman. She doesn't fail once at what she's supposed to to. She's just being screwd over. Not her fault.
Yep. The fact that idiots like OP can't see this is great evidence of why people should be judged by their actions, character, and abilities, not their gender or other bullshit. OP is a complete idiot, I love this movie and watched it opening day in the theaters, got it as soon as it came on dvd, and every single "feminist" I know loved the movie.
OP proves that men can be just as shallow and stupid as women, and that it isn't uncommon either.
because it's not a blockbuster
From my point of view there are three, maybe four tiers of movies:
1. Blockbusters + other non-ambitious commercial trash tier
2. Critically approved but accessible tier (Academy Award tier)
3. Arthouse / critically approved less accessible tier
4. (optional) independent small movies tier [usually a subtype of 3]
Feminists care about first tier. Sicario is second tier.
>aims her gun at Medellin
>disobeys Delta and uses her weapon anyways
>tries to expose the truth until she realizes she's in over her head
She may not be physically more powerful than 24/7 operators, but she's the only Rey of hope and goodness in the dark world of the war on drugs.
I thought she was a pretty great character. She shoots and kills 2 men that were both armed, she gets shot and gets up, she takes a few beatings, doesn't resort to screaming and crying in tense situations and is more than willing to stoke her own path on multiple occasions and is shown to be professional, competent, and intelligent.
However she isn't a super hero and gets beaten, can't physically overpower men, doesn't always make the smart decision and is manipulated and forced to do things against her will.
That's not the part that's hot.
>Steps on your balls.
>She stops and whispers "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. Do you love me?"
>You whimper and nod.
>She steps on your balls again and you scream in agony
>She apologizes again and rubs your balls
>you'll never give her a foot massage
>you will NEVER be in this situation
Because she is a STRONG FEMALE in a CORRUPT WORLD (ruled by Men).
If anything, this is what feminazis want in a film because it exposes men.
Also, this movie has like two good scenes and barely an arc to speak of. A crock of shit.
She is a fucking hero. Did we not watch the same film?
She is ALWAYS challenging the authority of her superiors. Her only goal is to get the guys that killed her friends. Only at GUNPOINT does she give in.
The only interesting thing in this film is when she doesn't take the shot at the end, mostly because she knows it's useless because they will fuck her back. She doesn't win, but she's a strong hero.
I think it's more proof that women just don't vote in general. I mean really? 71k votes vs 61k votes for Bridget Jones's Diary?
Even 50 shades of grey got 66735 votes by women, 88418 votes by men.
Well you don't have to go full retard with it right off the bat. To start off with just get her to use a riding crop and lightly slap your balls with it.
CBT is pretty great, you should try it at least once.
CBT is useless unless you're an attention-seeking faker.
>Well you don't have to go full retard with it right off the bat. To start off with just get her to use a riding crop and lightly slap your balls with it.
Still seems like a bad idea dude, I like my balls.
Probably is because I'm vainilla as fuck when it comes to kinky stuff, but still is not one of the things i would try.
Yeah you're right
>Males 55639 5.9
>Females 43660 6.7
I've tried but I can't think of a movie with more female votes than male votes, this is the closest I could find.
i never realised how good her footgame is apart from those damaged toes
So Alejandro will come back and kill her later right? He did warn her never to point a gun at him again.
also, where can I buy operator gear?
>the viewer has to decide the necessity of
Unless the viewer is Mexican, there's really no dilemma here. The cartels are dlearly bad and whatever happens outside of our borders...well, as the saying goes: out of sight - out of mind.
>also, where can I buy operator gear?
>tfw want to buy and wear this dude's glasses but my eyes are too healthy
Life is suffering.
You don't need 10 layers of tactical gear to be an operator.
First, who cares?
Second, very few women actually saw this.
Third, and other people are staying this too, the "femnazis" get their outrage from some media outlet that tells them to be outraged. I doubt a morally complex movie like this one is on their radar.
you people are just like feminazis, do you analyze every fucking movies characters and their assigned genders, first of all they picked her over black guy because the black guy is a lawyer which is kind of a problem when your operation breaks a shitton of laws, its easier to convince a lay man to break them, and they picked emily blunt cause she is really talented in depicting a normal human being under a lot of stress its not anti feminist propaganda and its not feminist propaganda its a fucking movie you sperglord
The whole "Feminist want strong female characters" thing is totally misunderstood by you spergs.
Feminist, as in actual real feminist and not crazy SJW people, dont mean that they want a female character who is PHYSICALLY strong. They mean they want a strong character, as in one who isnt just some 1 dimensional background character.
You're wondering why feminist are not mad that Emily Blunt isnt backflipping and duel wielding guns and fighting a hundred men while smirking, and thats because nobody wants that. Thats just a dull 1 dimensional character. Feminist just want an interesting female protagonist, and thats what they got in Sicario.
she actually represents the idealism of justice and due process that men like Brolin's character are trying to protect.
She wasn't wrong, it's just that doing things by the book isn't practical in a frontier of lawlessness. Her insistence on human decency and following protocol is noble, but just not feasible given their available options.
People like her should remind these guys why what they're doing doesn't make them as bad as the real criminals.
It's easy to be an edgelord and say she was just clueless and naïve, but it's people like her that are worth saving and protecting even if they aren't "wolves" - hell, especially because they're not wolves.
It's these kind of people who are worth fighting and dying for.
Basically add this to the rest of the posts calling you out on your bullshit.
I'll also add that you're probably just trolling anyway.
>They picked her because they easily could control her, because she's a woman. Because she's weak. The film is telling people that women are weak
Yes anon, this is mostly true in real life. The same can really be said for all humans though.
And I quote from Lord Elrond of Rivendell: "Men? Men are weak."
different anon. maybe i'm completely wrong but i think it served to show that even though brolin and del toro were men of action who were willing to overstep the boundaries (as opposed to blunt's by-the-books approach), they were equally as ineffective against the violence and crime. they came in and they killed people and yet everything remains the same.
this. remember when the delta guy showed blunt the "fireworks" after they are back from juarez? same applies to killing fausto alarcon.
the whole situation about drugs and stuff comes down to what brolin told blunt after the tunnel shootout-
in the end if people don't stop taking drugs there's always another gang or another drug lord or some other "bad guy" that will seize the opportunity to make money. killing fausto is just killing a man. everything that happens is that his place is vacant now.
Your mistake is expecting women to have a nuanced view of movies, Feminazi or not. They don't give a shit about the actual story or turmoil a character goes through. It's really as simple as woman in lead role that looks strong or at least speaks her mind. Girl walking around with the big boys with gun in hand is more than enough. She even shoots some guys.
There are movies that I can't believe women in general don't praise and movies I can't believe they don't detest, until I realize they watch movies in the either the most superficial manner or just watch wanting to see that certain points are checked off a list.
I personally don't understand how the Twilight movies and books aren't considered some of the worst depictions of women in modern media.
